  1. Waste gate is not stuck open and is working fine, time to check the fuel pumps
  2. Thanks mate I'll have a look at that!
  3. After the issue occurred I put the hole in the cat thinking it could have been the issue Gaz Definitely don't live in dubbo
  4. Hi guys. My fg turbo ute wont boost past 5-10 psi (tuned to 17). It's using heaps of fuel and just feels really deprived. Happened shortly after I gave it a bit then back fired. Have checked all hoses and replaced a cooler hose because it had a split in it but that didn't fix nothing, also tried by-passing the boost solenoid but also nothing. Coils and plugs have been checked so that's out of the question. Have put a hole in the cat about the size of a 50 cent piece so the cats not blocked. Have changed the fuel filter as well. This has happened shortly after a new tune, oil pump gears and vavle springs were done due to a misfire. It was running fine up until this problem Car has 4 inch exhaust Turbo smart 1200 fpr Twin walbro 460s with surge tank 1000cc injectors Pw stage 1 cooler Gt3582r Lots of others I can't think of What could the problem be before I travel 220 ks to my tuner? Thanks for any help
  5. Thanks for that mate, would that be the cause of the engine light? And if I drive it gently will it hurt the engine?
  6. After boost or just high revs say if I drop down a gear but not actually plant it
  7. Hi guys, I not long brought a mk2 fg xr6 turbo and have a problem with the engine light.. The car has upgraded turbo, full exhaust, intercooler ect. It's making 366rwkw Before I brought the car, all the work and tune got done at horsepower factory and apparently right after the tune the engine light came up. The previous owner was told to change coils and plugs (20,000ks ago), he told me it fixed the problem for a while then it came back up again. The car was sold with me knowing about the light and how it didn't affect the car at all. Few months down the track the engine light will now flash and run horrible for 5 seconds then good again with the engine light staying lit. Its throwing codes P0301, 302, 303, 306 and 316, so I replaced coils and plugs along with regapping them to 0.8mm and it still hasn't helped at all. I just want to know if anyone has had a similar issue in the past as I dont want to waste money on parts that dont need replacing. The car is only 60,000 ks old but does still have the stock vavle springs.. Any advice would be greatly appreciated, cheers.
