  1. Check carpets and see if they're damp. If any are, this may be a clue to which are of the car is letting water in. Check boot as well.
  2. Doubt the weight would have any effect on performance with the weight being towards the center, but a before and after dyno would be cool....
  3. Does anyone have any pictures of them side by side and also next to stock?
  4. I blew out the rear that bolts to the diff. Center joint is fine. You can buy them on ebay for fairly cheap but if you have some decent power I would suggest talking to a driveshaft shop. Going after market tailshaft with a uni instead of a CV is what big power guys go for....
  5. CV at end of tailshaft. I did mine a few weeks ago. Easy fix. New CV's are cheap-ish
  6. Ah ok - thanks. I'm currently ~300rwkw on 98 and ~350rwkw on E85 but with E85 not available here in NZ for less than $4/L (and it's not a pump, you have to buy a 200L barrel....) I'm wanting to bring my 98 game up via a turbo upgrade but wasn't sure if stock exhaust (with dump and venom cat) would be ok with ~400rwkw....
  7. Awesome results - I notice they both have full exhausts. I'm running stock but have the venom cat - have you found the limit of the stock exhaust with venom cat? Or maybe downpipe, venom cat and stock back half of exhaust?
  8. Auto. ZF. 2015 FGX Nah not yet. No need. I don't limiter bash it. Makes 345rwkw on E85 but unfortunately after shipping it home to NZ, Gull pulled E85 from the pump so running it only on 98 now. Although we have 100+ octane petrol at pump here but it's a good 45min drive for me so 98 it is.
  9. 295rwkw in 98 Usual bolt ons: Process West stepped intercooler 1000cc injectors Valve springs Fuel pump Hard intake pipes Battery relocation and turbo side intake Venom high flow cat
  10. Who is your tuner? Seriously think you need to talk to them. They'll know what you need to get to where you want to get to - assuming they are reputable....
  11. I have Plazmaman turbo side intake (included is a big K&N filter) and battery relocation and their intercooler pipe kit. BOV is plumbed back. Intune Motorsports throttle body elbow. Process West stepped intercooler (tuner was impressed with intake temps even after many back to back pulls).
  12. Oh really? I guess the IMS diff hat labour could be worth a bit if you don't do any of it by yourself. Really? That seems a lot for axles. Who are you going through? Haha yeah once you start replacing things like the diff - then you're wondering how deep does the rabbit hole go!!
  13. IMS diff hat is about $1500? $1000 if you do the work yourself. Tail shaft, good carbon fibre one is about $5k. Axles are about $2k Input shaft is about $2k I think?
  14. Yep. Have flex fuel. But at $4/L here for E85 and its not available at pump, you have to buy a whole drum, it makes it a bit silly.
  15. I do this - although have PCMTec so can flash the tune while driving..... But I drive around on the 'lame' tune for the most part - and if I feel like giving it a squirt, a few cruise control button presses and back to fun.....aaaaaand then I see the fuel gauge and go back to the lame tune hahaha
  16. Yeah 300rwkw is an ok amount to drive around with. It performs a LOT better on E85, even though it's only ~50rwkw more, the mid-range torque is what makes a car feel fast just driving it around without having to ring the balls of it. I was happy when it was stock. Then I got it tuned and what-not - and now I want more.... When I put it on the 'low' tune, it's about what it made stock - and it feels slow.
  17. Ok - not sure about Sydney. I was in Melbourne and the United's there sell it. Yep - ~300rwkw on 98 from 'baby' FG turbo is the norm - and up to ~350rwkw on E85. I'm 300/346 on 98/E85 on baby turbo. I cannot speak for what they're like on a larger turbo. Garret and Pulsar seem to be the go-to for most simple builds.
  18. Where are you based? I assumed you were in Aussie...if so, United sells E85. If you're in NZ - you're sh*t out of luck as Gull pulled from shelves mid last year and they have no plans to bring it back so you have to make your own or there are suppliers around that sell drums of pre-mixed E85 but it works out about $4/L..... You won't get 350rwkw on 98 from the stock turbo, unless you have the 'larger' one off a BF/F6. What have you got?
  19. 300rwkw feels 'zippy'. Not 'fast'. 350rwkw (on E85) feels torquey - but not super fast. Once you start going over 400-450rwkw, then that feels fast. 500rwkw is a bit of a street dominator. Not many cars you'll come across will be able to keep up.
