  1. So I’m at the point where I can’t seem to find a reasonably priced good condition t5z.....they all seem rough...noisy bearings... Overpriced......there’s some dodgy backyard ford wreckers all around Campbelltown...Jeezus.....pretty sure half the cars must be pinched..... how hard is it that go auto......? I’m at the end of my tether ..... either that that or I’ll part out the heap of junk.....
  2. Be interested to hear if anyone actually fitted a N/A t5 into a xr6 turbo and if it went straight in? Cheers
  3. Hi Guys, Im still a little unsure from the discussion above ... Can anyone confirm: Will a T5 Standard box fit into replace a T5Z in a Turbo Ute? I know they are not as strong and its technically a downgrade - but I need a cheap fix to keep my ute moving (and can pick one up for a few hundred bucks but I dont want to bother if its not going to work) . From what I read above - I could not see a definative answer - Has anyone ever replaced their turbo t5z with a non turbo t5 box?
  4. Ladies and Gents Strange thing has occurred twice in the last month. Driving along normally. Then all of a sudden I have lost gears. The engine revs freely like its in neutral but has been in gear. Pulled over. Popped the clutch back in and away she goes. The clutch still seems to have plenty of bite. Also it was replaced maybe 30,000 kms ago with a heavy duty kit. Any thoughts on what this sounds like? I've had a good search but couldn't find anything Cheers!
  5. Its a BA xr6 turbo ute Yep it's currently a 5 speed. Oh right, are you wrecking one? Thanks
  6. Hiya gents, I've looked around and there's a few threads from auto to manual. But not the other way round. Anyone here done a manual xr6t ute to auto? My 5 speed in traffic is annoying me L, the box is getting tired and I think it's time to go auto. Any tips or advice?
  7. Brilliant. Thanks for that. I'll look them up. Any ideas on what they're hourly charge for labour is? $70 or $90
  8. Hello all, I'm a proud new owner of a BA xr6 turbo ute. Which is generally great. But I'm thinking a bit more power is a good idea. Where have people taken there xr6 turbos to get some extra ponies?
