  1. Struggle? Pfft you've nailed it! Would love to do a build like this one day!
  2. G-skill Trident Z Neo make some great 2 x 16gb 3600Mhz 18CL kits. If you look up a b-die finder you can find models that have easily overclockable memory. In any case you shouldnt have problem tweaking the timings to CL16
  3. Very happy with mine Ended up getting rid of the EVGA and keeping the Tuf
  4. Hi guys, hate to pass on the cost I paid to a scalper but I am finally picking up the EVGA FTW3 Ultra 3080 I ordered on launch night tomorrow. I managed to secure an Asus Tuf OC 3080 a few weeks back whilst waiting (ETA was unknown). I am now looking to offload the new EVGA card for the 1600 I paid for my current card... I am located in WA and would prefer not to post if possible I thought it was worth offering it to someone on the forums prior to popping on marketplace - I have no doubt it will sell quickly Alternatively if someone is more interested in the Tuf I might consider selling this. Card has only had a slight bit of use for Cyperpunk and has been undervolted to 0.875V from day one.
  5. Looks like there are plenty if good options out there for in tanks these days! I personally have the 1000hp KPM module and its performed great. No track days yet but have had no issues on the street even running it 25km to empty and doing a few pulls (400rwkw manual on 98). Whisper quiet too . Cant comment on install as it was done when tuned but I know it came with a beefier wiring kit and wasn't cheap...
  6. If only haha. Been putting money aside for months for this 3080 launch!
  7. that's incredible coin for an apprentice and obviously an in demand trade to get into! Props to him then, if I had that sort of spare cash I can't say I wouldn't be excessive also haha. Better spent than my $100 bucks a week from Woolworths when I was 16 on weed and a bottle of wild turkey each weekend
  8. Everything is coming up that kid haha! Unlike the myth that red is faster for cars. Rgb DOES make the computer go faster
  9. Damn that's a lucky kid! Are the monitors a decent refresh rate? 3090 might be overkill if not and that's alot of money to dump into a card. I can't beleive the price they are asking for them in Australia. If its 5k already would hate to see the final bill. I know I would have been putting that sort of money towards a car if I was that age but each to their own
  10. AMD have their launch scheduled for mid-late october (forget the date). I can imagine Nvidia are saving the TI versions to stomp out that release if they come close! At the end of the day probably only need 10GB for the time being. By the time a nice 4k display is affordable their will definitely be newer cards
  11. Well I caved. Have ordered myself a eVGA 3080. Unsure when the stocks are going to get in so may be a while before I get my hands on it anyway. Got wayy too caught up in the livestream hype.. should be a nice upgrade to my 1070 and last until I build again
  12. What absolute monster! As much as I want to upgrade straight away will probably grab the 3080 when im interested in a game that's actually going to use it. My 1070ti is still going awesome for the games im currently playing That 3090 price point is just insanity. Would rather buy car parts!
  13. Some good deals in there! Almost makes me want to build an itx pc and stick it in the theatre once this gen of hardware comes out. What game(s) is everyone into at the moment? I've been smashing Valorant since it was released and haven't been this into a game since maybe COD MW2 back in the day... free to play aswell!
  14. Do you have usb c or thunderbolt? I think an external gpu box could do the trick?
  15. Been meaning to do an update but been a bit busy building a house, studying, working etc... hopefully will have time soon! Clutch hasnt missed a beat and has never slipped on me. The car doesnt get thrashed though and havnt really put the clutch through much punishment other than a few short power skids. Ive heard reports of the opt 3+ holding 450rwkw if its treated well. Will test this theory when eventually upgrading to a precision 6466 in the next few years
  16. Haven't seen much activity and have been lurking this thread for a while in anticipation of building. The time finally came where I had the space to set-up and build my first rig. I upgraded from a station I used throughout uni which had a I7-2700, Gtx 1050 2GB and 8GB of ddr3 RAM Rig I built has: - Ryzen 7 3700x - GTX 1070ti (cheap secondhand and will upgrade later) - Gigabyte x570 Auros Pro wifi - 2 x 8GB Corsair vengeance 3600mhz, B-die overlocked to CL16 - Samsung 970 pro, 512GB NVME - Intel 660p, 2TB NVMe - NZXT Kraken X62 - Seasonic focus plus gold 750W - NZXT H500i Bought a sit-stand desk as well to allow desk to be lowered for my sim setup which has worked a treat. Next to come is a GPU upgrade and a better second monitor when the wallet allows... Anyone got any good racing sim recommendations?
  17. Does your bum print money? You really don't mess around with this beast! Good stuff as always
  18. Have been pretty quite for the past few months so thought would drop an update. Gave the girl a 1,000km overdue service and checked under the car. A bit of scraping on the flanges of my 4" exhaust but other than that pretty tidy. Checked my catch-can I installed about 11,000km ago. Pretty much dry... A small amount of residue in the top but nothing in the sump. Have not checked my intake to see if that has a film. Note, this is not connected in line with my PCV valve. Turbo is still hanging in there and has had no change in noise on start-up / shutdown which has been good and still drives the same. Other than that, quite on the car scene while money gets filtered into a house...
  19. Gotta wait until the house is built bloody priorities am I right. Never
  20. Long time stalker of this thread and planning a build in the comong year or so. I believe a company called aftershock PC sells those gaming all in ones. Would be interesting to see performance figures...
  21. Absolutely love it. Have had the tank down to 40km to empty and no issues with a full boot. Whisper quite and wouldnt even know that its there! I was hesitant to get one at first as I had the same thoughts, had not seen many people using them. Would highly recommend and if your power levels exceed what the pump is capable of delivering, it could always act as a kickass lift pump for a more capable external surge
  22. I bought the Nizpro system on the back of positive feedback spread throughout forums. Of course there are also negative stories but the amount of positivity, not only from the exhaust side but from the shop overall, put my mind at ease. Just trying to spread my experience For the sake of their future customers, I really hope it was a dud. Needless to say I was also dissapointed with their after purchase customer service. It's easy to ride a wave of great reviews, its the odd mishap in my opinion that really shows how shops treat their customers. For further context, my car was worked on by Monsta Torque so by no means was it a backyard mechanic having trouble fitting it...
  23. Tuner could not fit my Nizpro exhaust without having it buried into my rear cradle. Quality and welds were shocking and their claims of "every exhaust is test fitted" didn't appear true with no grease, fingerprints or markings. Not sure if mine was a dud but they immediately tried to pass it off as a TOG exhaust and not their own - at the end of the day not happy Ended up going the x-force 4" turbo-back. A bit to loud for my liking on cold starts but settles nicely and is practically drone free. If I had my time again and knew my end power goal (be realistic with yourself if you are going to push 450rwkw+) I would have tried out the 2.5" twin venom system for the Cat-back section.
  24. All else failing, is yours a manual retaining the 3.73 diff ratio?
