  1. Im in no hurry to do anything, just planning at this stage. Might even leave it stock yet. I've got an xr8 sitting there I'm not sure I want to sell, if I do that will free up some $. To be honest the main thing that puts me off modding is having it tuned. Well. It seems unless youre mates with the tuner they're going to try and sell you a heap of sh*t, throw a quick tune in it, then move you on. I have a bf2, so. Valve springs will be ok at that power level
  2. Im going to have to sell cocaine and pimp hookers to pay for these f*ckn mods mate So I'm guessing anything that looks like a monza is made in the same factory and is the same level of sh*t?
  3. This is tempting. If it's sh*t I can upgrade http://www.proflow.com.au/catalog/513773?prodtype=1
  4. It's top of the list at the moment because there aren't many direct replacement options. I could go for a complete kit including piping but my plan is to keep the mods on this car to a minimum. That means keep the spending sensible too. I've spent far too much money on cars over the years and know that if I dont set a limit the whole thing spirals out of control. Im also aware that if I'm going to do it, I'll do it properly. It's my daily, so focus is reliability. I'm looking for 300kw max. planned mods are cooler f6 lower intake Cat pump & injectors. Xcal 4 & Tune. So I could spend big on a cooler and piping, but do I really need to?
  5. For anyone interested, PWR quoted me $1019.7 delivered for their direct replacement cooler. We'll see but I think I can do better for that money.
  6. I tried to look at the pwr website but its frustratingly sh*t to navigate so couldnt get any info. I'll look into them further, thanks. Ps. I dont have facebook
  7. Who makes a decent direct replacement cooler for BF? The overwhelming opinion seems to be Monzas and ebay equivalents are a waste of $ F6 isn't much of an upgrade. Who makes a good cooler I can use with stock piping? I want to keep the engine bay looking stock and I'm not chasing big numbers.
  8. Thanks Keith True, same pump feeding those injectors? Same intake?
  9. What were the hardware differences between the BF2 xr6t and equivilent F6 Typhoon? I'm only looking for a small power upgrade on my 12/2007 qbf2 xr and figure getting it to F6 spec with a tune would be simple upgrade while retaining reliability. I understand engine is the same. Larger I/c on f6. Other than tune, whats different?
  10. I guess the reality for me is, I hardly get the opportunity to open it up and enjoy it to its full potential anyway. I've rarely got more than a few points on my license to spare and I drive for a living. Might just keep it stock for a while and see how it goes.
  11. True. Another example of conflicting information when modding. 3/8 or 1/2 people do both, doesnt seem to matter.
  12. One owner, full service history. No doubt driven hard though, its not a Yaris
  13. Righto, I'll keep bushes in mind. Car is stock. I'll try and replicate the scenario to get an idea of whats going on. I was rolling at about 80kms and punched it. Im guessing it was in 4th at the time and would have dropped to 2nd?
  14. Anyone regret tuning their T? I've not had my car long, so I plan to put a few mods into it and get it tuned once I'm used to the stock power. Which after a few weeks, is pretty much now. That being said, I've read plenty of stories of people unhappy with their tunes, with ongoing reliability/driveability problems after a tune. I'm not interested in opening the financial can of worms of having to go back and forth to tuners to get the car running well. Not to mention time. If this is the reality of getting it tuned I'll just enjoy the car for what it is and leave it stock. Only minor mods planned. No horespower hero: Cooler Cat CAI Injectors. BF11 auto.
  15. Thanks mate. Shame they let that feature through programming, but good to know it's not something I need to address mechanically. If it wasn't for the fuel economy in D, I would just leave it in Perf' mode all the time. Feels so much perkier.
