  1. Happy Birthday BLUUOA!

  2. Thanks guys... It actually just happened again this morning in manual mode I gave it a hit in 2nd gear and the gear selector started flashing and lost the gas peddle and couldn't accerelate anymore And noticed the car was missing like crazy and was idling funny I turned it off and turned it back on and everything went back to normal.... It only happens when the car is under load.. Would a faulty valve body cause the car to go in limp mode ? Shouldn't a scanner pick up the problem... This car is %^%*& stressing me out
  3. Hey guys.... I've still got an issue with my car going into gearbox limp mode every time you give it a hit.... The abs light, traction light and brake light flash and the Speedo stops working when the gearbox goes into limp mode the gear selection display flashes and the speedo holds on a certain speed then stops working... I've been told the gearbox might be having issues I've done everything under the sun to try and fix this problem without any luck... I've even changed all 4 wheel sensors put standard wheels back on changed the gearbox and engine wiring loom to try and narrow it down....but again no luck AND WORST THING IS THERE ARE NO TROUBLE CODES TO NARROW DOWN THE PROBLEM I've put the car back to standard and with the factory tune Had the car at two auto electricians, back to two ford dealerships and even took it back where my car has been tuned without any luck After allot of time and money I'm still back at square one I’m calling anyone that can help I’ve got a spare ZF 6 Speed that I bought out of a wreak BF xr6 turbo but have been told it will not work with my car due to transmission ecu is only coded to suit that particular engine VIN and chassis Is this true? How can I make this gearbox work with my car Please guys I really need help with this issue as it’s really stressing me out because I don’t seem to get an answer to the problem it’s only costing me $$$ Honestly if anyone can guide me in the right direction or know anyone that has had a similar issue with their car.... Or anyone that would like to take on this issue please PM me thanks Could it be the computer or ABS module Thanks
  4. Hey guys Anyone come up with a fix for the speedo not working Mine keeps doing it even after switching the car on and off a few times... Also the abs light, traction control light and brake light flash and the car goes into limp mode... I've replaced both rear ABS sensor...
  5. I've got 22 inch rear and 20 inch front but I've had this combination for over 8 months If something was to go wrong it should of happened along time ago when I replaced the wheels... Do you know if the ring gears for the abs sensors on the BA CV shafts vary from the rings on BF shafts...
  6. Hey Senna Long time Hope all is well I'm really stressing about this problem A guy I got to know from Ford helped me out He told me that something is not communicating with the abs module they told me cause of the flash tuner there diagnositc machine only picked up a speed fault nothing else the machine couldn't pin point the problem or tell me which sensor may be faulty.
  7. Hey guys It's a 2006 BF FPV F6 Typhoon with a ZF 6 Speed Automatic Transmisson This problem is really getting to me.... I drive normal and the car is fine once I give it a little gas the abs light, traction control light and brake light flash, and the car goes into limp mode and the speedo stops working... This has all happened after replacing a broken drive shaft I’ve checked all sensors and pick ups from each wheel and everything seems alright The code that comes up is Speed signal missing or incorrect has anyone experienced the same problem or know of anything that might fix it ... Once you turn the car off and turn it back on everything resets until you give it a little gas again Do the wheel sensors pick up the speedo or is there something in the gearbox that knows your speed Thanks

  11. Thanks guys... Alot has changed since the last feature in Street Fords It has gone along way new ideas and heaps more custom work I've taken pride in what I've built and for other to admire and love hearing positive comments... And also hear to help Thanks again
  12. You can't see it because I haven't even spent that much mate the money that was spent was including the purchase of the car which was $60+ brand new As I said you need to see the car to understand the detail photos don't do justice let me know what photos you would like so I can change your opinion. Just to explain Money hasn't only been spent on the engine bay The interior has a full custom retrim including roof lining every plastic part is chrome including the dash, full entertainment unit, under carriage has been painted, custom boot installation which has 4 subs 3 amps 6 TV’s and Xbox 360 integrated into the factory ICC It's all good it's a forum everyone has a right to their own opinion Anyway DRAXRX I do remember you mate As for the WRX it's long gone did you hear the police impounded it for street racing twice I had to recover it through court cause it was forfeited to the crown it took almost a year but won but court ordered to sell it What ya driving now?
  13. You actually can get it from any performance place listed on this forum I purchased it over a year ago from BTA motorsports http://www.snowperformance.net try there website they might be able to guide you in the right direction
  14. Thanks Another diff,2 drive shafts and a flexplate later.... It's good to be back As for the track I had to decide between the custom boot stereo install or the track
  15. Ha Ha...You can say that again I did save awhole heap... Anyway it starts spooling just under 2500rpm The external wastegate and custom rebuilt stall convertor have there advantage and all helps with the efficiency of the turbo coming on boost and helps hold boost right through the rev range The gauge doesn't go over 17 pound and holds 16-17 pound till rev limitor I'm running a tial 44mm wastegate
  16. Good question mate I'll find out and let you know Thanks
  17. I was a mechanic/auto electrician for a couple of years and enjoy working on cars helped heaps of mates with all cars too I also done custom stereo installs as well.. I'm in the catering business now but most of my work is done after hours and on the weekends all I'm missing in my garage is a hoist... As with the turbo specs the power curve and spool with heaps less lag then others I've had shows the best results throughout the rev range on min boost
  18. There 22x 9.5 rolling on I think 255/30/R22 I had to get the guards professionally rolled and double metal edges panel beated you can't tell it's been done it was given a factory look Also you need good suspension and camber kit is important It gives it a muscle car look 20's and the front and 22's on the rear
  19. Thanks guys Answers Standard Mercury Silver but honestly have put my car against a friends and noticed that mine had allot more shine. The robot that painted my car must have been generous that day It makes me feel good knowing I get back what I’ve put in by getting feedback like that thanks again guys As for a ball park figure I lost count at about $ 100,000 including the purchase of the car I could lie and say I haven’t spent much but photos don’t do justice you really need to see this car in person to really notice the array of detail produced and most the work was done by me which saved me a buck or too I’ve experimented with the turbo for ages now and noticed the specs I’ve got now is best suited for my engine and exhaust manifold. Let me know what you’re looking for and I’ll be more than happy to answer your questions Thanks again
  20. It's Parked in the garage below mate http://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/index.ph...view&id=105
  21. Thanks mate It's honestly great to be back.... All I can say is I done someone proud As for the wheels 22 inch Rear and 20 inch Front I've already enquired about putting 22's at the front expensive project.... It's called MK series 45 there triple coated chrome finish with a life time warranty...
  22. Thanks mate....it's a pleasure It makes 400+rwkw as I've put big rollars on my car (22 inch wheels)I've taken some power out so making about 370rwkw I'm happy with that seeing as I'm still got factory internals... As for the track don't know will see... Anyway did you see it in street fords or ford preformance magazine ?
  23. Hey Guys Just wanted to introduce myself to those who don't know me I'm George 2006 FPV F6 Typhoon 90% of the car has been modified Under carriage, suspension, brakes, exterior, interior, engine bay, bolt on kit, stereo,tv's (xbox 360) and soon to be a full custom boot install. Haven't been on this forum for years been so caught up with other things including my car and I don't really get on much. But a few guys suggested to come on and talk to anyone who is thinking about or still in the process of modifying there car or taking it to the next level getting really serious. Building a car can be sometimes frustrating especially when things aren’t going your way but once you’re on the right track nothing feels better then knowing everything is going your way and your put all your time and effort in creating something worth smiling about it’s like anything in life it has it’s up’s and down’s. I don’t cut corners I do it right the first time with care and save the long term headache’s in the future I’ve been at my car for almost 3 years now (most work done by me) and I’ve had my fair share of hiccups and problems and have always managed to find a way around it and fix it... So I honestly would like to offer my services by helping out and giving advice to anyway that has been thinking about modifying there car but don’t know where to start or any questions about my build. I know how it feels to get stuck and lose direction and sometimes that turn could be costly trust me I know. And if I can’t help I shore can guide you in the right direction.... I've made alot of friends from this build and it's been a journey to remember I've done the hard yards and want to help out and make new friends in the process
