  3. Thanks mate, the PTE & GTX seem to be the ones that ppl have recommended, but ill be looking at clutch, driveshafts & coilovers before I up the power.

  5. Hey Bellato, was just asking for what ppl thought would be suitable. Havent cemented a budget, will do research and shop for a deal. Does more expensive mean better? or are there cost efficient turbos that would do the same job for less?
  6. I suppose there will be a lot of different opinions on what brand/setup is best, but I'm just after advice. I'll take it all in before going through the process of buying. I'm thankful for everyones advice.
  7. Yeah my brother has bilsteins on his liberty & he likes them. What is the ride like, as opposed to stock? Body still roll into corners?

  9. Thanks camo86t, I am looking for an even spread of power, nothing that lags. But as everyone has told me, its the tune, not the turbo that makes it linear. Other ppl have suggested the precision 62 range of turbos, guess ill be doing a lot of reading before I choose. Thanks again for the advice
  10. hmm thanks for that. More food for thought. What kind of price range is the shockworks kit? Pedders XA=1700, Tein=2300. Did not want to spend too much, as I don't go to track, just want to get rid of the roll-and-squat out of corners. I wonder why my mechanic suggested against installing the quick shift kit?
  11. Just thought I'd donate cause I've been using the site for help, so I'd try to help back. Buttplug, would this turbo support the required power easily or is it at the limit of the turbo to make the power? I want to buy the parts I need first, then get it all installed. I've been told I need to upgrade clutch & driveshafts before I look to make 500hp atw...or I wont be making it for long
  12. I was hoping that the stock clutch will be good enough for the power level im at now? Would you recommend the option 3 plus clutch kit from Mal Wood?
  13. Thanks for the advice masda74, am still looking at different suspension sets. I have ppl who swear by tein super street advance, but they go to the track, I don't. I've had ppl say that the pedders xa coilovers are a good budget setup if street performance is all I want. I do have a manual, do you recommend doing driveline upgrade prior to doing power upgrade? I bought an Aeroflow fg 6sp short shifter, but my mechanic did not recommend installing it. I don't know if its because he knows I drive like a tool, or if its performance is not worthwhile. Thanks again for turbo advice, is the GTX3582r or Precision 6235 linear power turbos? Want smooooth power if that's possible
  14. Am looking to up the power of my xr6t from 311kw atw to 373kw atw(500hp) What turbocharger would ppl recommend to achieve this? I want it to be linear power, I've been in peaky power cars & that's not what I want. I want It to pull from down low, quick spool. Any help would be awesome
