  1. Lol I just re-read my advice, there is only one way the venom cat piece can go. I was thinking about my cat piece that is a venom cat but I have modified it so it is literally just the cat only with vband flanges, hence being able to be rotated etc. Oh well
  2. I fitted and balanced 4 tyres, pad slap front and rear, brake fluid flush, engine oil and filter, maf clean and other little things for my cousin's car today. Time for a beer or 50
  3. Yep I was surprised they were that cheap, most are around the $70 mark.
  4. Yeah I can't see it being fixed any time soon. Oh well, at least I can train something.
  5. I have a registered business and a wholesale account at a tyre warehouse. I could go back there and buy 20 of them tomorrow.
  6. Yay Tuesday I ordered 4 tyres for a mate, 255/50/18, semi slicks, $44 each. Cheap as chips lol
  7. Got x-ray and ultrasound today, there's a bone spur under the tendon which is causing the pain and my nerve is jumping across the joint when I extend my arm. I've got a follow up with my GP tomorrow but it appears I'll need surgery to scrape the bone. Yay I suppose this year will be dedicated to squats and deadlifts.
  8. A lean code would explain the lack of power and spluttering etc. More than likely you'll need to replace the O2 sensor. You can check the O2 sensor operation with a scanner to verify first if you want.
  9. Yeah it's dead easy to make the car idle higher. Only thing is it will want to push the car along so you'd be on the brakes a lot more often. Worth a try though.
  10. Yep I had a 5 1/2 month break from drinking last year, I didn't feel noticeably better but I also didn't feel like sh*t either. Pretty sure I'm gonna stop again cos it doesn't fit in with my desired lifestyle. I only drink on weekends now, but even that is too much to fit in with working out and being productive etc.
  11. Vodka, scotch, bourbon, beer and half a cigarette.
  12. Yay Sunday Hangover central up in dis bish
  13. Also the intercooler was 50C when I left the driveway and dropped to 40C at the end of the run. It's currently 30C and sunny here. Previously the top mount would start at 50C and finish at 100C.
  14. Did a quick power check while I was in the car, it makes 220awkw on 10.5psi @4800rpm. I think a set of valve springs will bring up the boost slightly in the top end, perhaps it is just the nature of running it with no boost control. Fark me at this rate I should have just chucked a na engine in the turbo car and be done with it.
  15. Ok so I've gone to have a look and it's not as straightforward as I first thought. Basically the ignition timing and the idle airflow are both in closed loop control at idle. That means that if you change them to an incorrect value they will self correct in just a couple of seconds. I would need to look further into the tune file and see if there is a way of having either the ignition timing or the airflow not be controlled at idle. This isn't a common thing to be looking for, so I would have to sit down and browse through a few hundred, or possibly a couple of thousand parameters to find a likely candidate, then I would need to flash my car etc etc. While it doesn't cost me anything to do this, it does take a lot of time. This certainly isn't a request you would take to a workshop, as you could easily run up a few hours, or a whole day sorting it out. I'll have a look through the tune when I've got some quiet time during the week, I wouldn't hold my breath for an outcome though.
  16. Missus said " should be able to" and I said shooby? She said huh? I said shooby...ubuda, shooby ubuda
  17. Yay Saturday Here's some Aussie slang for ya, "shooby ubuda".
  18. I haven't forgotten again lol but I've been tied up most of the day and now it's dinner time and kids etc. Haha I will go out there and make some changes tomorrow morning and update then.
