  1. I swapped the white residue one out with a spare coil and the problem cleared up. Just out of curiosity, if the residue isn't due to arcing, what else could it be? Just wondering if I have another problem perhaps brewing. The residue is only on that cylinder (#5).
  2. I have some spare coils, so I'll swap with one of them. Just wanted to check on others who have had arcing and if the white residue in that particular spot is what they've also encountered? It is really high up on he coil... I would have expected it to arc out down the bottom.
  3. Hi All, My car is running badly above 4000rpm, missing like hell. In the pictures attached I've placed what I suspect is a good coil and a bad coil(white residue?). Can you guys confirm? Only changed all the coils about 5000kms ago, which is why I want to check... Cheers
  4. Regapped to 1mm and misfire is gone. Cheers for the help
  5. I'm gonna regap them to 1 and give that a go. Cheers.
  6. I have a stock BA I XR6T with 75k on the clock and very recently the car was misfiring badly when it reached 2500rpm... I changed plugs and gapped them to 0.8. This fixed the misfire at 2500rpm but then started missing slightly on idle. It's irregular and doesn't happen all the time, just a slight miss every so often when waiting at the lights. I changed all 6 coil packs thinking that it's a dodgy coil(had a Ford tech show me that cyl 2 had the misfire on it initially when diagnosing the miss at 2500rpm), but replacing the coils seemed to have done nothing I have cleaned the throttle body and it's idling smoother but still missing. Anyone got any ideas? Cheers
  7. Thanks mate, ended up not having to undo the entire caliper, but this will come in handy when I replace the rotors soon
  8. I'd like to know how much to torque the front caliper bolts upto on a BA XR6T? Anyone with a workshop manual able to tell me? I'm replacing pads... Cheers

    K&n Filter

Won't do anything for performance. The computer in the T/Typhoon controls the boost pressure and will not allow a pressure increase over its programmed limit. By installing the better flowing air filter you allow the turbo to work a little easier, but it won't increase boost pressure and therefore no extra power. If you are going to mod the intake system, you really need to do the lot (Air filter, Intercooler, Hoses etc) and get it tuned (psi increase) for the better airflow.
  10. RAPHOON, who are you going to get to fit yours in Brisbane? I still have a stock system, but would like to buy one of these and get rid of the midle muffler at the same time as installing the new cat.
  11. 50,000kms that's ambitious <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Hehe, I have to be good!! EDIT: Just another question, probably stupid, but will I be able to fit 235/35/19 on stock suspension without rubbing the guards?
  12. Don't want to derail, but does anyone have Nankang NS2s or heard much about them? I'm looking at 235/35R19 for $220 - $250 per tyre. I really want a tyre that's going to do at least 50 000km, is quieter than the stock dunlops and good all rounder in wet and dry... I have a T (naturally )
