  1. when I was running my standard tubro I had the plazmaman air intake which went into the wheelarch liner which was good because I took the fog light out so it got really good air but now with that 4inch intake I had to run that setup but because its a huge filter and huge pipe I tihnk it should be ok
  2. yeh I mite do what power gains did ya get out of that. engine bay is still a mess from all the world needs a good jetwash and degrease haha
  3. nearly done just finishing fuel system off this weekend coming then ready for tune engine needs a clean up still its a mess ahaha
  4. hey guys im looking at changing my ba xr6 turbo cams. just wondering if there is any machining involved to fit the cams or are they a straight drop in? ive got valve springs retainers etc. just wondering does anything else need to be done ie cam height etc to suit
  5. im a mechanic by trade haha so yeh its not hard but I wanna goto t400 or c4 :D I just wanna hit that 700rwhp mark when its tuned :D well join the 500rwkw mark for now :D
  6. I will eventually I think I got a plazmaman rail to fit and turbosmart fpr once I fit the injectors but yeh I gotta tiddy everything up wiring etc
  7. heya guys good news car is getting towed on friday to get the fab work done then tune to follow shortly after. small change of plan no longer running the 6266 upgraded to a 6766 1.0 AR ill upload a photo of engine bay with turbo just loosely fitted
  8. its only a 4 speed il get alot of wheel spin agreed but meh

  11. hahah thanks matey I wanna try have it finished before xmas hopefully itll be all done by then with the 6766 I want to hit 550rwkw+ but it all depends on the box if that goes ill have to get some indestructable auto with 4.5k stall full manualised and trans brake haha
  12. heya mate monsta torque is gonna tune it ran into some trouble with my 6266 so upgrading to a 6766 its on its way should see it in abouta week then gotta get the fab work done then tune. I use to go on heaps of cruises but its been off the road for a while now so yeh havent been on any cruises

  15. haha ive got use to the power gradually but yeh its certainly gonna be a handful I never keep traction control on its to temprimental in the ba's more harm then good lol. im actually supprised how much of a difference the rims made for traction use to get no traction in 1st 2nd and sometimes first now it tends to grip up at top of first but that's only with 320rwkw aiming for another 50% more haha and going from 3.46 to 4.11s will make a huge difference aswell haha. I work in the high performance automotive industry so you get use to driving different cars with different atitutudes lol
  16. adds up man I remember when I made 430rwhp that cost me like 10k to do it realiably and with good components then next stage is just sky rocketing lol like I said im at 20 now and I recon stil another 2-4k before its where I want it then the chance of the gbox not holding which wil be another 6k FML
  17. aww man that sucks :( I dont drive my car much to be honest ive only done 2k km since last year been obviously focusing on getting my build done but yeh I went on a cruise ages back and nearly hit a roo I was like I <3 Bananas all my time and effort gone
  18. hey guys almost complete my build on my car but to be honest my btr 4 speed is worrying me. yes its built etc but I dont think its gonna handle the challenge all that well. what experiences have yous had in the past with upgrading auto trans? looking at perhaps a t400 or a c4 can anyone confirm what they use and how they went about it all. im a mechanic by trade so fitment and labor wont be needed just need a rough price on components etc
  19. obviously going e85 to make the power its gonna be pretty high boost id say mid to high 20s but we shall see how it goes. dying to get it back on the road
  20. im a mechanic so ive done all the work myself besides the tune obviously haha so saved ALOT of money in that aspect haha looking at transmissions though not sure how the built btr is gonna hold up exploring other options like c4 or t400. believe me even being a mechanic its still added up I popped my standard motor late last year so then I did a full forge build and all the other extras im just about done now but ive spent a tad over 20 in the last 12 months lol

Hey guys my miss brother has a bf xr6 none turbo and his looking at getting rid of it shortly. however the car is worth no money so I wanna nick the t56 out of it and obviously all the manual accessories. my question is fitting the t56 to my ba xr6 what do I need to do inregards to ECU or wiring for it to suit. I heard you can reflash the BA auto to manual if that's the case that's fine. next question though im gonna fit the 4 speed outta my car into his bf non turbo how do I go about the electrics side of that car. all help will be greatly appreciated
