  1. Thanks guys! Yeah sounds like booking ZF through Ford might be the way to go. Ford Freak can you remember how much it was? Cheers.
  2. Hi Everyone, I have a 2010 F6 with the 6 speed ZF auto. I have that common problem of the 'lurch' when coming to a stop (second to first gear). I have read on this forum site that there is a 'firmware' fix, however I have spoken to a local ford dealership in Sydney and they said go to ZF. So I rang ZF and they said go to ford! I am wondering if anyone has successful fixed the lurch problem with the firmware update, and if so where can I get it done? I am located in Sydney and I am happy to travel anywhere in Sydney to try and get this fixed. Thanks in advance, Tim
  3. Hi everyone, Got a completely stock F6 and was thinking of getting a X-force Varex Muffler, just wandering what peoples thoughts are regarding just doing the muffler and running the original FPV exhaust system? Will it still sound good or do I need to do the complete system? And would there be any slight performance increases with stock system running the Varex muffler? Cheers in advance, Tim
  4. Cheers everyone. Naldz006, Thanks mate. Where do you find that sort of information? I looked in the manual and found nothing regarding temp range.
  5. Okay thanks everyone! Seems like around 7,500 is the magic number. My logbook is complete, however all been done at 15,000km. Should I be worried regarding the length between intervals before I owned the car? Also, a long shot I know, but can anyone recommend a reputable performance shop in the Hills District (north west suburbs of Sydney)? Around Castle Hill, those sort of areas? Cheers again!
  6. Hi All, My F6 is coming up for a service. The FPV dealer where I bought the car second hand told me get it serviced every 10,000km although the book says 15,000kms. First question: Should I get it serviced every 10,000km or wait for the 15,000 to come up? (Currently at 52,000kms.) Second question: Is it worth going to a performance mechanic/shop to get a regular service? Car is completely stock. Obviously performance shop would charge more, which I don't mind, providing that there is going to be a difference. Cheers, Tim
  7. Hi All, Had the F6 for a few months now and love it. Just a quick question regarding the oil temp gauge. Reading seems fine and is always below half way or at half way when giving it some. Question is: Does anyone know what the range of the gauge is? It has a max reading of 150 degrees, but does anyone know the minimum reading? Seems silly to have a gauge with a max reading and not a minimum, because you can't work out what the segments (or lines) are going up in what interval!? Clearly I am just curious but just wanted to know haha Cheers, Tim
  8. Hi Troy, Thanks mate. After doing some research it does seem sort of 'common', I'll look into replacing it. Thanks mate. Hi Stever, Well I actually can't notice it in the last 3 days or so :/ I have changed from V power to Caltex Vortex 98 fuel. Does anyone think that could have been my issue??? Cheers, Tim
  9. After googleing I realise what you mean sorry. Are these necessary to fit to stop the water ingress problem I'm reading about on google? Is a 2010 build still suffering problems? Cheers, Tim
  10. Hey Tronxr6, Do you mean a transmission cooler? I'm just unfamiliar with heat exchangers. Thanks again
  11. Oh okay excellent. Thanks for the responses guys. Really appreciate it. In terms of getting it data logged, where would I get this done? Obviously its a diagnostic thing, so most mechanics would have one compatible with the f6? Thanks again, Tim
  12. Hi all, I am new to the forum so be nice I just bought an 2010 F6 Auto with 45,000 kms on it. Completely stock. I bought from a dealer so I do have 2 months warranty left, it's just that they are a good 45 minutes drive from me, so I thought I'd pose the question here first. Problem is: (probably been happening since I got it, just haven't noticed) When driving around at say 60 or 80 kmh I notice the tacho needle "shaking" when I'm trying to hold a steady speed. Now by shaking Im talking about tiny movement (I really have to stare closely at it to notice) probably moving 50 rpm or thereabouts. Just wandering whether you guys think it could be a miss or just a tacho fault? Giving the car heaps up hills (trying to put load on it) it just powers away with no hesitation at all. Which makes me think its not a miss, but please advice? Does anyone else have this trouble? Thanks in advance, Tim
