  1. The only way around this is to use a OBDII bluetooth adapter and use an app like Torque for android. This will tell you what gear the car is in regardless of it being in D or perf mode.
  2. I'm thinking of doing my top bolts as well. Going to call Paul tomorrow hopefully and ask if those bolts they've made can be fit to the top mounts. If so, I'm going to look at doing that.
  3. Josh, your mixer shaft is broken and needs to be replaced. It's a dash out job and is expensive due to the labour involved. Have a read of this thread http://www.fordforums.com.au/showthread.php?t=11421898 It's common in the 09s and some '10s. The actualy fault is said to be in the HIM and it ends up overwinding the flap, causing the rod to break off. If you're in Sydney, I recommend going to see MR FPV from that thread. His prices are a lot cheaper than Fords.
  4. Goodluck with yours. Mine's still quieter than it was before in terms of the knocking, but the damn rattles inside with the doors and the dash. Going to pull the trims off in the next couple of days and tighten things up and then put dynamats in if needed.
  5. I had the 2 bolts replaced in my car this morning. Dealt with Paul and he was really helpful. He explained that the stock bolts on the rear shocks were 13.8mm at the thread, but at the spacer section (first half) the thickness dropped down to 12.5mm thickness. So, they have new bolts made with the same thickness and put a sleeve on it that brings the thickness of the spacer bit (first half) to 14mm. Having driven back through some sh*tty roads of inner west, it seems to a bit quieter, but I want to test it out for another week or so, incase it's just a placebo effect. Paul mentioned these are still prototypes at the moment and they will be replacing them out as orders/complains come through, under warranty. As long as you have bilsteins, you can get them under warranty (doesn't matter when you got them installed).
  6. The vibration is a tail shaft out of balance. I've got the same thing on my G6ET and it's been present since I changed the diff bushes.
  7. Who's the guy you were dealing with ello? Phat stak and I didn't have much luck with a guy called Steve. Wasn't really interested in helping out when spoken to him in the past. Also, did they only put the sleeve on the bottom shock mount? And on both sides or just passenger?
  8. Cheers mate. My suspension is still under warranty (only 3 months old) but it was bought and installed from a different place. I'll give them a call on Monday and see.
  9. Good to know it's sorted out. Keep us posted on how it goes after a couple of days. Also, if you don't mind me asking, how much did it end up costing you getting the car done today?
  10. Has the knock returned to how it was earlier or is everything still good?
  11. I'm in the same boat as ello678 and phat_stak_tipa. I have bilsteins installed on my G6ET with stock Springs and the knock is there, predominantly on the rear left side. I spoke to Heasman and got the same spill as phat_stak_tipa. There was no knock when the stock shocks were in. I haven't had a chance to pull them out at home, but hoping to in the next couple of days. One thing I want to try putting some thick tape or felt type material on the bolt that sits in the top shock eye and see if that makes a difference. Also, what is tsp?
  12. Issue #1 - I'm assuming your car is an auto. The slight jolt you feel is the transmission dropping gears from 2nd to 1st. It's normal. Mine does it too. Some people have had this fixed by servicing their gearbox. Issue #2 - No idea. Maybe someone else can chime in.
  13. I have a G6ET and have some decent tyres and bilstein suspension with stock springs. It handles very well and I can't say I miss the LSD. I will put it in eventually, but that's when I'll be tracking the car.
  14. sorry about the delayed response. I had a thudding sound in mine (sedan) when going over bumps. Replaced the control blades (cheaper than doing just the bushes when including labour) and the noise was gone. My old bushes were split and had a fair bit of movement in it.
  15. Did you do the control blade bushes? They might be gone. You'll hear a thud/knock in the rear.
