  1. I've swapped a complete sedan turbo engine, loom and ecu into a standard ute and have a problem with an airbag light. After investigation with an IDS, its been recommended to put a resistor in somewhere on the side curtain airbag to increase resistance due to not having enough or something. I've done this before on other vehicles in the UK but really want someone who knows what they're doing to complete this stage of work. Has anyone every swapped a turbo sedan engine, loom and ecu into a ute done this before or can anyone recommend anyone please? I'ts been almost 2 years and I can't find anyone who has had to go through this yet. I'm almost at the point of putting it back to standard to get it re registered and then swap it back later but I want to do it right. Thanks heaps for any advice you can give me.

    Help needed

I'm curious if anyone knows who does race application cylinder heads for a 4.0L single cam AU falcon motor please. Currently running 700+rwhp. Need something special. Thanks in advance.
  3. Thanks Ozy, think I might just use the sedan module and make another brake line for it. Think that's going to be the quickest and most effective way to get around this problem.
  4. Bought a turbo motor and loom from a sedan for my ute. Have noticed the old ABS module in my ute only has 3 ABS outputs whereas the sedan one has 4. Will my non turbo ute module plug in and communicate with the turbo sedan computer or do I have to use the sedan ABS module and run an additional brake line to the rear? I'm assuming if they are compatible, will I then need to get it re-programmed to sync with the turbo sedan computer? Any help is greatly appreciated.
  5. Soory to start off topic, but I was curious as to what probs you had with your turbo conversion in regards to wiring looms and any extra parts you needed to complete the task. I had an FG xr6t sedan but wrote it off. Bought it back and went out and bought a FG R6 ute. I was planning to do the motor swap as the turbo motor made 340rwkws and it had a ZF 6 speed in it. My question is, did you have to swap any of the dash or engine looms to get it to function properly. im not sure as to whether or not the turbo looms carry additional sensors/ wires compared to an NA falcon. In regards to your question about the T400 conversion, Fred at Protrans in Sydney has done a couple for people I know and they have been spot on. They will be able to help you with your conversion. Looks like you've got most of it covered already though.
