Hey guys, Skinna here, only a new guy so sayin g'day OK, some backstory; Recently got my hands on 04 BA XR6T ute, go me yay. after tightening some u-bolts to close the 1" gap between the lowering block (not my idea) and a few bits and bobs, took her out for a thrash, over fueling due to typhoon injectors and big fuel pump, has stc tuner so will get it tuned. now the question... Motor has bit over 200,000km on it, so cant chase big power yet (oh, and the 5-speed manual sans 2nd syncro) so im thinking... are the NA blocks the same as the turbo blocks? trying to find engine/halfcut from xr6t/f6 for a good price is not going to happen unless I take a grinder to one down the shops, so was thinking getting a NA block, fill with goodies and go from there. I assume will need to drill/tap feeds for oil to turbo and coolant, but are the blocks the same? oil passages, manifold mounts, head and valve architecture etc? will be a month or so before I got time to start this, but any info would be brilliant. also, same mounts for the 6-speed? assume bellhousing will be same, but crossmember and tailshaft? good on ya fellas (and any shelias) Skinna
