  1. Sorry to dig up an old thread but my car has been serviced and the mechanic said nothing about it, I have checked the cooler piping, all seems good. It was the 130,000 service, so I'm not 100% but I'm going to assume they checked turbo manifold bolts etc. Could this clicking noise be the middle bolts on the turbo? I read on this forum that if there loose it will make a clicking noise.. ill check this tomorrow. Basically even off boost it sounds like its sucking in air through dirty cloth almost, air filter is brand new. its definitely not a clean vacuum noise.. sounds like sand is flying around in a glass jar by being applied with pressurised air.. Anyway ill check these turbo bolts first, but any other thoughts, maybe the bearing?
  2. Ahhh the typhoon, nice!, But wow that's borderline roof scraping!, I prefer it lower :D. Yeah it's weird, its only very subtle, normal person would probably never notice, ill see what he says tomorrow,
  3. Hi all I have a BF Tornado manual, and I got the driveshaft rebuilt today, (costing 950, is that reasonable?) And the guy that did it recommended raising my gearbox to level out the angle of the shaft to stop the centre bearing flogging out because my ute is lowered, is this common to do this? Because driving home I noticed my gear knob is slightly higher due to gearbox raise, and also a slight rubbing noise which irritates me as I like my F6 to be smooth! ha. Just wondering on your thoughts! I am getting new leaf's put in soon and getting the rear raised back up a little, and he said to bring it back and he will check the angle again for me, basically I just went with what he said because he is a drive line specialist, but my concern is the slight rubbing noise coming from my gear stick.. Cheers!
  4. Yeah I might book it in. No power is still fine, except when it seems to be warmer from driving for longer periods it comes on boost nicely without the clicking that's all, I will book it in and let you know what the verdict is!
  5. Hi all, I'm new to the forum, Have just recently purchased my dream car, (besides an FG F6) 2006 BF tornado, Bionic Blue, 6 speed manual. Also its the only tornado I have come across with dual zone climate control :D Car is stock I believe, and when its warming up the turbo makes a clicking noise as it boosting, It is directly from behind the firewall drivers side, And when I say warming up I mean temp gauge is at 1/4 which is what its always at no matter how much I drive, so its definitely at operating temperature, It just seems too be when it isn't as hot. For example I will go for a drive and it will be all good, then ill turn it off and it will sit there for maybe an hour? Hop back in, temp gauge is still at 1/4, but only when its boosting, do I here a rapid clicking noise. It's got me worried, has anyone else heard this? My oil pressure at idle is 1/4, is this correct? and when driving at around 2k, It sits just over half Cheers guys any thoughts are appreciated!
