  1. Hey Max, that is the older design. Best to contact me directly though as I dont want to push products on here in respect to forum rules, im not a sponsor on here, well at least not yet, I would like to soon though as this is a great forum. Long time member and reader but I dont post much :-) George
  2. No worries mate! Good luck with everything, the cars making good power for the mods done!
  3. Hey JGP, So sorry for the inconenience with the cat. That is our older style unit and a handful of customers had reported back to me with this problem. That is one of the reasons why we have changed the design since then with the new range to make it much stronger where the inlet/outlet cones connect to the main body of the cat. The new cats are also welded along the inner edges of the substrate to help prevent substrate shift, all in all making them much more durable. The cat is under warranty and im more than happy to send you one of the new style 5" body units to replace the older version. If you need any help just give me a buzz. George
  4. BA XR6 Vortech Supercharged with 4.10 diff gears. 13.09 @ 109.6mph 2.102 60ft. Ambient temperature 20 degrees. Makes 243rwkw at 4800rpm then power dips to 230 then goes back up to 240 at 5600........have to get that sorted, damn BBM. Was my first time out after putting the intercooler on and retuning. Need more practice as it went 13.2 @ 106 non intercooled with a better quicker 60ft (2.07).
  5. Haha :-P I always thought the Dominator units were superior to TCI etc. What would you recommend?
  6. I guess you dont get a proper feel for it until you drive a car with one. I just remember going for a drive in a friends NA XR6 2 years back with a 3000rpm dominator. Felt great on full throttle when I went in it, but he said if he had his time again he would have just left it standard as he didnt like it for normal drving, thought it was much nicer with the stock stall. Another mate had a 3500rpm Dominator in his with 4.11s (car ran high 13s) but he cooked his auto on long distance trip, which to be honest put me off changing it. that's why I thought 2500rpm would be better for my application, with the 4.11s at 110 the car will be sitting near on 2500rpm aswell.
  7. Not to keen on a converter at this stage as I dont want to sacrifice any drivbility, I'll go back with decent tyres, see how the car goes and take it from there. Would love to nail a 1.9X 60ft though on street tyres with the standard stall. If I did go for one though, I would mostly likely use a mild 2500rpm unit. Cruising is good, sits at 2300rpm at 100 which isnt that bad. Around town the 4.11s are great, much more effortless and I can use 4th at speeds under 60 now and the car doesnt feel like its struggling. Economy hasnt changed at all, still get 400+ks to a tank with mainly city/suburb driving. Probably the best bang for your buck mod you can do to an NA XR6.
  8. Sorry mate, missed your post. The car has a full system exhaust, tune, intake, underdrives and 4.11 diff gears (4spd Auto). It was tuned by Chris from Bluepower to 171.8rwkw (230rwhp) First time at the drags with the new diff gears, I have to learn how to launch the car all over again hehe
  9. Thanks mate, yeah it certainly is. With a fresh set of tyres and a stalled launch im hoping it will dip into the 13s. Well done on your PB too!!
  10. Hey guys, I was there last night aswell. Perfect turnout of cars, most were getting 6 or 7 runs and was good to see alot of BA/BFs. I had the Blueprint BA NA XR6, ran a 14.28, best 60ft was 2.109. Didnt stall it up on that run either, just walked it off the line. My tyres arent the best, they need to be changed. Stalled it up on a couple of the runs to 1200rpm but it just spun and tramped off the line running 14.3s/14.4s. Cheers
  11. This doesn't surprise me one bit.........I know a few people that have purchased the so-called cheap chinese turbos off ebay and have had no problems. One guy on fordforums bought 2 for his ed xr8 which ran high 11s NA and dropped the times to low 10s with the turbos fitted and tuned. Also if you search chinese/ebay turbos on the net you will hear of the many failures.......but......when you read into it further, you realise that the majority of people who have bought turbos on the cheap have 9 times out of 10 fitted and tuned them on the cheap too. Like anything though, there are the good and the bad ones. One thing that is misleading though with these chinese/ebay ones is the model branding such as T70, when in fact the specs of the turbo make it closer to a T58. What really got me though is a guy who bought a cheap ebay turbo for $300, then rebuilt it with "genuine" garret internals that fit with no issues, certainly makes you wonder.
  12. Thanks mate :-) Here is the pic. The only thing is it doesnt have the bracket near the merge. Is this needed?
  13. Hey Guys, I have the opportunity to buy an Xforce Cat and Y Piece for a great price and I was just wondering if this will bolt on to the standard exhaust system? Cheers
  14. Hey guys, I put an xr6T exhaust on my NA XR6 and love the sound. I also got the middle muffler replaced with twin resonators. The car will be getting extractors and a high flow cat soon which should make the whole thing sound alot better, but I was thinking of replacing my rear muffler with twin resonators/hotdogs aswell. I wonder what it would sound like, any ideas? Ideally id like to retain the same style of sound and tone with just more volume, which is why I think resonators may be better than straight thru pipes. Anyway here are a few video clips http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lRs28Py-lvQ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_sXOciIyH6s
  15. hrm after reading thru the last page, it looks like that makes 2 of us who have had a poor experience with the other brett earlier in the year. why bother putting a warranty when they wont bother fixing problems
