  1. I was never a real fan of this colour, that's until I purchased a TS50 which was factory painted with this colour. It really shows the lines of the car and when its in the sunshine the fleck in the paint looks fantastic.
  2. could you post some interior and exterior pics for us? did they paint the whole roof?
  3. I am trying to decide atm whether to purchase a new bf xr6t 6sp auto or a secondhand ba gtp. It is interesting that the second gear ratio in the bf auto is very close to first gear in the old ba four speed box, I can't remember what the exact ratio was but I'm sure it is close. At half or wot do you notice the change from first to second because of its large ratio difference? I do like like both cars for different reasons and most v8 owners can't give away their boss powered cars atm which is a shame. I am going for a run in a bfxr6t and then a f6 auto back to back this week so it should be interesting.
  4. here's a link to video on FF, its a pass he did which I think was mid 05, I can't remember what the et was but at a guess possibly a mid 12. With pipes off the baby boss sounds great. Someone shoot the guy with the leaf blower http://www.fordforums.com.au/photos/showph...&cat=756&page=1
  5. I found the bf T six speed auto in drive and performance mode below 3500rpm to be very docile. This car only had 20klms on it so it wasn't a very good judge of the cars true ability. Off idle torque was quite ordinary and if you needed a bit of squirt you really needed to floor the pedal to get the thing to kick down but I'm am sure this would have to improve with more klms onboard.
  6. mmm I did take one for a run the other day as I need to replace the wife’s car. The car I drove only had 20klms on the clock, we were in an area where we could really open her up and imo it would possibly crack a mid 13 although zf is so smooth it could be a little deceiving. One question guys will edit and say a good exhaust help improve the off boost throttle response and torque below 3500rpm? I just found it too docile around town and when you wanted the power you really needed to bury the foot. I'm just used to the part throttle torque of my t3. Apart from that its a performance bargain.
  7. bbwwwwwwaaaaaaaah.....only driven to church on sundays
  8. This is the exact reason why im waiting to see some bf auto t's on the road and tuned otherwise I would have one on order now. The ion four speeders seem to handle a high amount of torque once the shifts are firmed up. bty the ion four speed auto can handle max 520nm although the torque reduction nobbles a lot of that from idle with wot.
  9. congrats on the new car and thanks for the pics, black looks sweet.......okay now for the important stuff, what is the new auto like??? do you like manual shift mode or are you over it and just let the box do its own thing?? are the shifts at wot considerably quicker than the ba 4speeder? The new pattern on the seats is a touch loud for me, will have to opt for leather I think.
  10. I had a quote of 40grand on the road for a lightning strike no options xr6t today. Wow! 34800 is a crazy price on a new baII T, I only wish I could get a price close to that in Brisbane.
  11. na6 receives a 450nm rated six speed auto as an option where is the T and v8's get the 600nm version. I have been for a run in a na6 six speed auto and it was nice but I probably wouldnt bother with it unless it was a T.

Its all the little 1 - 2 percent improvements throughout the car that will make the difference. I bet the car will just seem that much better but you won't be able to really tell why... Like an average rugby team.... Just because a team gains one of the best forwards on the feild, doesn't mean that this team is going to suddenly win everything if the rest of the team don't improve... It requires all the players to play together as a team and improve together. A car is the same thing. The best engine in the world stuck in an old dato is great fun for a drag car, but in most respects, would simply suck. But, having a great engine mated with a great drivetrain pushing a great chassis holding a great interior, is a team worth backing, and that's the way I see this upgrade. Improvements throughout which will make an overall better package. It might not sound like much has changed, but I'll bet that when you all go for a drive that it will just seem 50% better... But you won't exactly know why... Its all about a team effort <{POST_SNAPBACK}> ^^^^^^agreed, hopefully the new auto will be free of any issues but it married to the awesome 245kw six it should be a fun thing to punt round a track......although while at the dealer today chatting about costing on the BF he mentioned that the six speed auto in the T and xr8 won't be available till Jan 06.....but that's from a car salesman.
  13. that's a great upgrade for 1k  , although I would option the six spd auto.....xr6t and six spd auto = street/strip weapon.
  14. great time for 4l six, youv'e mentioned KEAS as your auto tuner. Who are they and where are they? thanks
