  1. I'll have to race to get my car back to what it used to be! hate how they wiped all the mods when they upgraded the game! I'll find my gear ratios around here somewhere! what times is everyone running?
  2. Your pretty much right on that one! It has a sensor in the back of the head that measures the metal temp rather than the collant to tell the system what to do! we hit a roo in a company car the other day about 20kms from no where! Pushed the radiator fans into the belt and stuffed the pulleys! Had to drive home somehow so we kept going! That failsafe cooling is awesome! Cutting cylinders to keep it running! Sounded sick but was able to do 80km/h with no water! Next day, fixed the pulleys and belt the next day. started it up and all good! best new feature on a car in ages!
  3. you didn't see my civic then! Me loved whipping them! Ask IMTURBO! & NT_TURBO will start playing at home again and join when your up and running! if you are going for power I suggest you go for the turbo instead of the supercharger as I read somewhere that even though it shows the power as being lower with the turbo that it was always faster! IMTURBO and I had same car but he had supercharger and I was always faster even though he had more power!
  4. I have been playing this for ages but recently they reset it all and I lost my mustang with all the works! 7.9 second 1/4 miles were fun for a while!
  5. I have some videos of some increadable stupid people on bikes in france testing all the big bikes of the time like the suzi 1300 and zzr1100's and the like! Mad as! competitions for the longest wheelie and stuff! all with cameras on the bikes and riders! awesome to watch but never me! As for bikes being faster, especially through the twisty stuff, you have to remember a couple of things! Even though a bike has massive wide tyres like 190mm wide these days the contact patch with the road is very small! So this basically means that a bike has nowhere near the amount of grip it needs or wants all the time! So a car going around the same corner has heaps more grip and can push harder! I saw a few figures a while back where a V8 supercar and a 500ccGP bike went around a race track! can't remember the track but there was only a few 10th's of a second in the times cause the bike is on the edge of grip all the time! the car has heaps more grip. Was very interesting. didn't realize how close it would be! thought the bike would sh*t on the car! Power to weight is one thing but grip is another!
  6. Hey I didn't think PROFESIONALLY and FORD DEALERSHIP were allowed to be used in a sentence together? Sorry KEN had to say something on that slip of tonge Just realized too, I think this is about the first thread that KEN has been in where every post has been serious! WTF Has the world ended and I didn't get told? Am I in an alternate universe?
  7. I can't stand the people who ride down the white line at traffic lights and the like! I have never done it or will I ever do it! As for the guys that then just putter off from the lights in your way! Haha I give them a nice shock when they look in the mirror to see my car up their arse! I had a guy try and overtake in between my car and another on the highway at 100km/h once! hehe he didn't get throught! fool! As for there being 10 second cars out there, I know there is but you can usually tell them from a mile away and decided to play if you want!
  8. I have the XR8 airbox and couldn't be happier! Was thinking if I kept the cars long enough to cut a hole in the front of the bumper to really jam the air in to the ducting but would have to do a very neat job to make look right! will see! might play with one to see one day! I hate these air intakes that block air flow to the radiator and the like! seems very dangerous to me from the testng we have done! we need better air flow not reduced airflow! I would be uite happy with the ss inductions kit with out the plates infront of the radiator but that mod costs more than the xr8 set up cost me! Does anyone know if there are K&N type filters available for the xr8 airbox? might go search! That was the most expensive part!
  9. Dont get me started on people blocking off the airflow to the front of the radiator! I have been there and dont it before but some people just have no idea! I find it interesting that anyone that has done through testing of the Turbo and its cooling says not to block radiator flow by plates or ducting but that all the back yard people know better! Read the "ZOOM" magazine articles for instance! Normal driving on a normal day might be fine but what about on a 35 odd degree day! Hmm!
  10. Being a ford employee has many advantages! This is one of them! Get discounted prices and can replace them every 6 months for hopefully no money changing hands with the same options! Free motoring is always good! Anyone want me to order a car for them and they can have it in 6months with 12500kms on the clock for what I pay for it! Cheaper than 2nd hand at dealers!
  11. My first White BA XR6 was a Novermber 2002 build, my second Phantom BA XR6 is a May 2003 build, and my soon to be built Lightening Strike BA XR6 will be a November 2003 build
  12. yyyeeeehhhh Well! There is no way you would be cutting up my airbox like that! But hey its your car! Just a question for ya! 1) Did you remove the rubber seal from the underneath of the bonnet skin when you fitted this duct? Cause if you didn't then all your hard work is wasted as it is nicely sealed by that seal to the radiator support panel infront of the beginning of your duct! The easiest way to see is to remove the grill and the plastic upper panel and shut your bonnet. Seals quiet nicely except where it is shaped into the bonnet for the original airbox duct! Want me to send a photo of what I am talking about or is that seal now removed!
  13. Yeh I would have not thought it was something worth while if I had just seen it on a web site, as we all know you can buy alot of crap that doesn't do anything and people will buy it, but when I saw it first on a motorbike on the weekend it got me thinking! Can't see it would do much on a car in terms of dirt on a car but it might help with water! There isn't much airflow through the wheels on cars these days so I doubt the do anything for air flow!
  14. I was at Phillip Island on the weekend for the MOTOGP races, which were awesome even though we got soaked, and I noticed on some of the new motor bikes to come out next year that they have a strange shape to the outer edge of the discs. I have also stumbled on this web page about versions for cars. What do we think of this! I'd love to hear from DBASteve and his thoughts! http://www.rotordiscs.co.uk/main_page.htm
  15. haha! I spend 50% of my time in mods & workshop! Scarry thing is I could say alot more in there but I dont! haha we are all freaks!
  16. haha isn't it funny when you get people trying to run your bike from sets of lights! Mine will do the 1/4 in a 10.3 seconds standard and these people try and run you! The biggest problem we have is how to keep the front wheel in contact with the ground! Only lifted the front wheel once underpower but it was an awesome feeling! As if these people stand a chance!
  17. one thing that shoots that theory down is the blow off valve! that's the main reason why you have one! to stop the turbo from slowing down on gear changes or closed then opened throttles!
  18. as far as I know you can't reprogram the car to accept your key with the rear demister button! You can program a remote keypad like we all get when we get a new car but that is it and even that needs to have the correct key in the ignition and stuff! I think on the BA it is harder to do this and you need the Ford WDS machine to program the keypad! Keys are very hard to reprogram. As for a master key I doubt there is a factory master key! ohtherwise all dealers or at least Ford its self would have one and I know they dont! As a fun side gag at the old dealership we used to set all the key pads on the new cars to one keypad and get the 1st year apprentice to go get the next car! Poor boys used to walk out and push the remote button to find all of about 10 to 20 cars unlock at the same time pepending on the range! Very funny! used to always reprogram the remotes after that but!

Ha Ha Ha Ha............... :middlefingerred: right back at both of ya! You need to try night shift and see how ya go! bet your brain fades! Oh sorry I forgot you both dont have one between ya!
  23. you guys must remember that we here at the track are the test dummys! They try all these different things when a system dies like the throttle on us first! what we see may not be what ended up being produced! Stopping the car at the engine RPM I spoke of was not hard but you certainly noticed something was up! thanks FORDTECH for the propper explanation!
  24. This topic has been closed due to the AGRO that is being shown in the replies. You had been warned! Lets play nice in the future and dont assume anything! Ask first!
  25. the worst you will see a BA throttle do is hold about 2500rpm when the fault occurs to allow you to get off the road and out of the way! Found that out during testing! fun stuff!
