  1. Happy Birthday -LYNCHO-!

  3. So finally some news back from XFT. They have narrowed it down to a short along the ignition line. They have been through about 50 fuses trying to find it but havent as of yet. that's a releif for me as its not the ecu or something more costly. They said they should have it sorted by early next week (Simon has been out crook and only just back at work).
  4. I wish I could, but it's not starting at all. Definitely no leaks, and nothing from thermostat housing. Those sheer bolts are a real bitch. What was the advantage of them over real bolts anyway? If it was the ecu though, would the scanner have connected to it in the first place?I will give XFT a call tomorrow and see what they think, and let y'all know. Thanks for help guys, much appreciated.
  5. So scanner came up with zero faults. Auto sparky was stumped. Didn't check ecu plugs because we couldn't get it off as it is riveted on. Anyone know how to remove these? Also determined that it is getting fuel, however just got getting spark. This is leading me more towards CAS again. I think my next step will be to put the bloody thing on a tow truck and take it back to Simon at XFT. If anyone is going to know it will be him. Edit: would the scanner have connected to the ECU if the problem was the plug?
  6. How similar were the problems in your missus car? Exactly the same?
  7. Yeah sweet. I've been away at work since the night after it happened so haven't been able to check. I've got a mate coming around Thursday arvo with a fault finder so we'll see if that comes up with anything!
  8. Yeah I would love to open 'er up and get some decent guts in it, but it's down for the count at the moment (see topic I started yesterday...). I also forgot to mention that I'm still running the factory clutch aha, which is slipping pretty bad. So once I get the lecy problem sorted a malwood opt3 will be getting dropped in. After that I'll sort out the piping and cooler :D
  9. Name Matt Car: BA Mk2 XR6 Turbo Trans: 6spd man Power: 336rwkw Boost: 14 Induction: growler, monza cooler (this sh*tty aftermarket cooler is the bottleneck for power at the moment, don't waste money on these ones it dropped my intake temp by about 2deg) Turbo: Stock with ported gate and custom flapper, 12lb actuator Valve Springs: atomic Exhaust: xforce 4" dump, 5" cat, 3.5" single Fuel system: ID1000 injectors, upgraded pump Power adder: SCT Flash tuner, tuned by Xtreme Ford
  10. Where abouts is the earth strap? Wouldnt that mean no electrics at all? Cables to ECU are fine, and no rats or mice! The engine still turns over fine but I don't think its getting fuel. Its not the fuel pump as you can hear it when you turn electrics on, also its a brand new larger pump. Injectors are brand spankin, aswell as all 6 coils. The RAC guy who had to come out before I could get the tow truck went over it and said it's more than likely the ECU or crank angle sensor. How can I determine for sure which one it is, if either of them? If its a CAS you can pick them up on eBay for ~$50 and I would replace it myself, and if its the ECU I will grab one from a wreckers, install it and use my free tow truck ride to Xtreme Ford to be recoded and have the tune reloaded.
  11. Battery tested and was fine. Alternator too.
  12. FYI - got the mod done at Xtreme ford. $1,000 for the mod, and about $500 for a retune. Pretty happy with result! Pulled a 13.002 at kwinana (due to still running the factory clutch at 336rwkw!!!!!), but hoping to improve on that once I get my hands on a malwood option 3
  13. Hey fellas, bit of a problem I've been having with my 05 turbo. I would be driving along at te speed limit and all of a sudden the entire car would just shut down. It would miss for about 1 second and then all systems down. This has happened 3 times and I've been able to pull over, turn the electrics off and back on again and the car would start. There have been no running issues with the car. The car only does this when it is warm. The most recent time I had to get towed back to my house. Same problem, although this time the car wouldn't start. The electrics still work one the car has stopped, and turns over but won't start. Dash lights flash as engine cuts out when driving. I suspect a crank angle sensor or an issue with the ecu. Any thoughts or has this happened to anyone else? Cheers
  14. Sounds like a plan. I've got two other mates with turbo falcons who are keen to jump onboard also. Think I'll be leaving the brumby in the shed for that one mate, don't want to be showing up the boys in their Ls1's aha
  15. I'll definitely be keen for a cruise mate, been trying to jump on board for a while now. Just let us know where and when
