  1. More boost and fuel going through it on e85 tune hence why the environment inside the cylinder was a bit too dense/rich for ignition. I'm keeping my money though for the next flatbed I have to pay for... Ford life
  2. Fair callout @masda74, I let this slip. To be fair though I only rectified the issue on Friday. My mechanic replaced the coils and plugs about 2 months ago as discussed. This fixed the problem as far as I could tell, it was idling fine and under some half pulls on e85 it performed fine. Happy days, I thought "all fixed, I'm not updating that post though". 😉 Changed to 98 and the car had been running fine for a good 2 months. Under full load, about 17psi, no issues whatsoever. Until... Changed back to e85 last week, pulled onto the motorway, planted it and on the very first pull back on e85 the dreaded misfire returned. A couple more pulls confirmed it and I had a head in hands moment. Next morning over some bacon and eggs I remembered one thing we didnt do, gap the plugs. A trip back to my local mechanic, plugs regapped from 1mm to 0.7mm and the engine is running 100%. But now I think 4th is slipping... 😣😅 Sorry bout the long version. Hopefully it helps. Short version = new coils and new plugs gapped to 0.7mm = win
  3. Cheers guys, I hope one of you are right and it's a simple fix. Will report back later in the week
  4. Hi guys, After filtering through all the misfire related topics and find very few threads with actual resolutions I thought I'd start a new one. Basically my 09 FG G6e turbo started misfiring at WOT when at the strip the other night. 400rwkw running E85 to give an idea of mod level. The thing had done it before, when it did I took it back to the tuner where it got a service and retune and came out happy as. Has been running sweet for about 6 months now but the problem has returned and is far worse. Essentially when I am on hard boost it sounds like it has a very bad misfire and no power obviously. Originally it was just under WOT but on the way back from the track it got worse, occasionally misfiring while.cruising at 100kph and but the time I got home (100km later) struggling to idle without misfiring. With slight throttle it runs smooth as so I'm thinking it has to do with ignition as the extra voltage with slight throttle will help spark but as soon as any fuel or boost is dumped into the engine it misfires again. I am yet to talk to my tuner (will today) but will update this post, through to resolution so hopefully it can help out the next victim. Keen to here any ideas or similar stories. Cheers, Joel
  5. She's a runner, one last question though. Should the small vacuum line that runs from the plennum to the blow off valve be open or blocked off after the BOV is removed?
  6. Thanks Jet, a little gentle persuasion is the key hey? I think we worked that out though the job isn't yet done. We fell over at the battery relonstage though. My slightly larger battery won't fit so it is looking like a boot relocation instead.
  7. Hey guys, trying to install a turbo side intake in my FG G6e turbo. Having trouble clearing the power steering sensor, any tips?
  8. Took it for a play on the weekend
  9. What an epic build. The small battery solution for the turbo side intake is simple genius. One small one up front and one in the boot might be a win for those of us with a few amps to run
  10. It has been running 350rwkw for about 6 months already. This is what it will be running more often than not as the 98 tune put out 357rwkw. The ZF tune is just about adjusting pressures in the box so when it changes gear with the extra load it down at flare (or Atleast that's my novice understanding). Done with just the XCal4, no parts or mechanical adjustments. Cost me around $400 from memory...? I had it all done in one hit so I didn't pay for it separately
  11. Hi guys, my car has previously made an appearance in the 300 club but after my turbo started making a bit of noise I was "forced" ? to upgrade. Now rocking a gtx3576r thanks to the master at Profile Autosports, she's cracked the 400 mark. The mod list is as follows: Gtx3576r Atomic HD valve springs Stage 2 PW Intercooler kit 100 cell Cat 1000cc injectors 4" intake delete Earls filter CAI pod E85 Fuel pump (assuming a Walbro item) Stock ZF with tune stock cat back exhaust Made 401.4rwkw on E85 @ 19psi. With that big wide torque band it feels amazing on road. No sign of that legless feeling up top the gt3576 had. Needless to say, profile has another very happy customer.

  13. How are you finding the PS3's mate? Need to replace my P-Zero's and thinking of putting some of them on.
  14. Update Guys, I took the car to Willowbank last week and it ran a 11.707 @ 121.2mph on Pirelli P-Zero's at 36psi. Pretty happy with the time, definitely has the potential for a 11.4/11.5 on the street tyres if I take the stereo out and play with tyre pressures.
