  1. Hope you are all well, keeping safe, and getting ready to enjoy the warmer weather.

Its that time again where all the software upgrades come in, which require licenses to upgrade to the latest versions, and to keep everything nice and fresh for our members.

To upgrade all the software we need around $300 AUD, so any donations to the cause helps - https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/clients/donations/

Without the donations, the monthly costs, maintenance, and software licences to keep it all up to date would take its toll, so appreciate the support!

Just for the record the site has been around now for 20+ Years! All thanks to you all!

    Thanks again

  2. Well another year, has come and gone, and its that time again to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Its the time of the year to spend those treasured moments with loved ones, to create memories that last a lifetime, and to take the time to breathe and be happy for the blessings for the last year, big or small.

Life has its strange ways of often throwing curve balls our way in which we need to deal with, interest rate rises, world crisis, and of course the dreadful COVID. But use this time to regenerate, and live for the now.

I want to personally thank all of you that still support the site, whether it be by visiting, being a part of the community, or throwing in a dollar or two to keep us afloat. As always the site costs, a good amount of money to keep going with server costs, hosting fees, and software upgrades (which we still need to do), but we keep going for you, our members.

It still makes me smile, when i see a XR6 Turbo, Typhoon, F6 310 on the road...

Much love to all our members again at this time of the year. We hope you have a great one, and more importantly a safe one.

If you do want to donate to the site, our link is always open, and funds will be used for upgrades, hosting, and to keep the lights on  - https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/clients/donations/

  4. My beautiful girlfriends son Michael who has autism is raising funds for his schools fun run which is on this week.

In the few years I have known him he has grown into a young man eager to learn and understand, thanks to the special school - Joseph Varga he attends.

If you can spare any funds to donate to this worthy cause, as I have seen his life change over the years due to the education, nurturing and dedication not only his mother has given him but also the great school he attends. He wants to eventually get into computers, and the school enables him to not only give him the life skills he needs, such as doing the things such as brushing your teeth that we all take for granted, it enables him to learn and grasp things that will enable him for life ahead.

Good timing too as it is all tax deductible - the link is here https://adidas-funrun2016.everydayhero.com/au/michael-gallico

Thanks in advance for your generosity.

  7. Of course not really as if I actually contribute anything...just sarcasm. Benz thing was just a joke I had seen you post bout it and why you traded in the upgrade thread. Sorry to offend.

Tapatalk issues are just formatting, not sure how this appears in the browser but the paragraph spaces get lost once posted, this does not seem to be an issue with tapatalk as its not an issue on other forums. Also cant see any likes anywhere, at all. Your own posts or others. You do however still get notifications about it, again only occured after the upgrade and others have reported the same issues. Thought the upgrade thread was locked now? so posted bout here, not really that pissed off bout it at all though...

I understand things arent free and had also seen your post about being out of pocket for this upgrade previously. Id have to agree with keif though, I just assumed running costs, maintenance, upgrades ect would be covered by sponsorship and advertisers. I understand you work and this is not a source of income...

probably is about time I donated....

No dramas mate, appreciate the response. Yes the advertising costs just cover (might I add when we get paid, some are as usual several months behind) like $20 more a month than the cost of the server and the monthly maintenance of the box (in which we have a managed server agreement). The costs for things like upgrades, software licenses and the design unfortunately comes out of our pockets including donations.

Will work through the issues and we should hopefully have it perfect again shortly.

buys a benz, asks for donations....I feel my presence is enough...

    Really?

To be honest the Benz was exactly the same price as my FG F6 310 which I sold, and came out of my own pocket, not funds from the site. The funds from the site doesn't even cover the monthly server hosting and maintenance.

The upgrade difference has come out of my own pocket....

well it nearly works biz the bugs are pretty minor in the scheme of things, just annoying more than anything. Im still using it.

Tried you generic IT advise for sh*ts and giggles Rab, no dice.

Keif, the forum needs the api installed to even work at all, which It didnt at first after the upgrade, which CJ covered in the upgrade thread and said they needed to set it up. Which they now have, so they have in fact taken the time to give a sh*t...I just find it hard to belive these small bugs just dont require a bit of further tweaking and the forums OR tapatalks toolkit requires major changes to fix it. Ive used tapatalk for about 3 years and throughout that time it sure has had it's share of problems, NONE of which I would attribute to the forum itself. Honestly man tapatalk is a mint platform for forums on a mobile device, these issues arent bad enough to need to use a browser instead, Im sure it works just fine via any browser but that's not really the point...the whacked timeline issue hasnt occured in a while actually, im sure the upgrade isnt 100% yet and some things are still a work in progress so hopefully it will be sorted

We are running the latest version of Tapatalk designed for the forum as well as the API is in place. Not sure what else I can do? Tapatalk version is designed for the version of IPB we are running. What are the issues with Tapatalk? I will log a support call with them.

And to top it off we are still working through a list of issues including the IPS Spam filter causing issues with new member registrations.
