  1. Hows your wheel bearings? Does it always shudder or do you have to drive for a little bit before it'll start shuddering upon braking?
  2. You better show us what a good skid is Steve hahaha kidding!
  3. I wanna play with this plastidip stuff. IS anyone getting their wheels rebalanced after spraying them with this or are you assuming youll get it perfectly even?
  4. Oh man I've gone through two sets of those RDA rotors and I've got nothing good to say about them other than I found with a few pad combinations they just did not take the punishing that the stock rotors could take (lol). Tell us how those RDA rotors go, as I certainly did not use the sort of pads you are using here.
  5. My BA only has one key to start the car, luckily however, I found some remotes from a company that had BA's in a fleet, so now have a grand total of two brand spanking remotes and one old that doesn't work properly. I know if I go to a locksmith and get a second key made up. It would make the other key that exists somewhere in the world, useless. Is there any way to make this missing key useless so only the key that I am in possession of can start the car (w/o seeing locksmith)? Similar to me reprogramming the remotes, when you do the programming only the remotes you have on you at the time are able to open the car. Failing this, I don't see the value in $90-120 for a new programmed and cut key to start my car, is there a way I can get this cheaper? I just wish I could swap someone an almost new looking remote for a cut and programmed key Also has time travel been invented and tested yet? I wouldn't mind going back in time and buying a BF instead of a BA.... (unrelated haha).
  6. I just found a shop that did wheel bearings for an absolute steal. Like labour of $50 a wheel for installation of bearings when a lot of shops wanted $300-400 to install just the front two. I supplied the bearings however (the whole hub assemblys). The thing drives like new now it's fantastic, I also had the upper and lower ball joints done too though. They had the car 1.5 days in total and I got charged sweet f all. Hit us up if you're in need of wheel bearings and I'll tell ya where to go.
  7. I had diff bushes done under warranty. They took photos of all the rubber under the rear end of my car and told me not to try getting another set
  8. Anyone wanna take us for a spin? I can navigate if you need. Happy to take ya in mine on a cruise in future, just have to sort wheel bearings and cracked turbo housing first which really ruins the ride. I can drive and park up at your house if you're not too far away.
  9. Im here and yeah ill have that turbo housing! Im working in jandakot tomorrow. I have not got the labour organised yet so ill just secure the part and be happy.
  10. Someone should sell me a cheap turbo exhaust housing for my BA turbo cause they love me. I'll go second hand if it isn't cracked. I'd love to see a new one cheaper than $650! (that's for a new part from MTQ in malaga on the shelf). It's actually quite cheap for XFT to do work I've found out as well, I don't know where people seem to get the idea they cost more from but I found they are the among the cheaper shops to perform work on my car, a lot of part prices they have quoted have matched what I'll get told from a supplier, versus some other shops which seem to be $100-$400 more expensive for supply and fit.
  11. Ahhh cheers mate, that'd be lovely to see, I'll do my best to get around, got a big night on tonight but I don't really drink alcohol so should be all good! I was thinking myself why couldn't they stick something in the filter (a screwdriver through it) then hold the bolt but I only went there to get my exhaust manifold fixed up and was happy as hell that I got that done....but I can tell the filters blocked/restricted. Like I rang 9am on a Friday and had my car there just after 10am. The old filter inside of mine is a ryco, so it has been done before, but I think mostlikely at 90,000kms when it's due and the car has now 155,000 on it.
  12. What about the tools? Like seriously, there were bolts I could see but not tighten when I attempted to tighten my exhaust manifold bolts and bolts on the turbo itself. I'm defiantly interested to see somebody perform this task to see what sorta tools are used so I can buy some tools (I'm an addict to buying tools).
  13. I just had XFT do mine took em about an hour. It's easy enough to do.......with the right tools. Cost me $100. Rough idle disappeared, fuel economy improved, car generally is more fun to drive with less throttle. I reckon mine came loose within 5000k easy and I think it's worth checking Boganspeed.
  14. Id have put 40-60,000kms on my BA by the end of the year at the rate I've been driving it! I intended to maybe put 5-10000km on the car while I owned it due to working away. Ya only live once, I could drive my old beaten up ute around or drive my xr6t.
  15. Yeah, I'm not angry at all, the car will be going back to XFT to have this done. I was suggested by someone to go to ford and get them to do a fuel filter for ($150 they quoted) cause if they break the line they should be replacing it for me...but they might say the same thing. It's just my 1 litre pump pack of lube has run dry from all the visits to crappy mechanics and ford parts department :(
  16. Just got back from XFT who did my turbo exhaust bolts, damn shes running like a beauty now! They were unable to get the bolt undone on my fuel filter!!!! Great guys and service and I'd defiantly go back but what the hell am I meant to do now my fuel filters so blocked with crap it's not even funny. It was suggested I replace the bit of fuel line after the filter. The bolt at the back could be undone but not at the front. Should I go to another mechanic for this?!?!?!
  17. Oh the sound it makes is just driving me absolutely nuts. when I'm cornering left its super quiet then the noise from the front tyres is really loud when going straight or turning to the right :(
  18. Everyone was accusing me of driving hard when they saw my front tyres, the passenger side has excessive wear on the outer edge, the drivers side has excessive wear on the inner edge. Was warned upon getting wheels aligned to get a camber put put in and yeah that never occured and yep two new front tyres coming up .
  19. I swear I heard this about the BA premium sound sub as well - switching the polarity. Will report back if this makes a difference, It sure will but will see if its a good difference or not.
  20. I'd love to take the piss by badging my car up funny but I'd wanna have a serious amount of power to back it up so people that are laughing at me are doing so in my rear vision mirror The ones I like best are like the F6 310 changed to like 610 or something or just whatever the car is outputting at the wheels power wise haha. but nah why attract attention from police and stuff I say? At least have road legal mods I say.
  21. Time for Steve to sell me some of his performance bits cheap and upgrade Although I keep forgetting I'm up for a transmission first... haha
  22. What's the going rate to get BTR's strengthened and rebuilt in perth? I might goto XFT and just pay whatever they say as I do not want what has previously happened where people screw stuff up. EDIT: $4500 from XFT..... also about the audio it's good people are talking about sound deadening material, it really makes a difference I have found previously but I cant be bothered doing it in my BA currently (mechanical stuff to sort first).
  23. killing me, it's an awesome car let me look deeper into my finances. Wouldn't mind seeing it in the flesh but you'd be seeing a wad of cash on the table before I go ask for any testdrive.
  24. Haha I really want a G6ET as my next car. Doesn't have to be new but newer would be nice. Not really too fussed with driving stupidly it has an obvious detrimental effect on any car. I honestly wouldn't want anyone having my car in it's current state I don't believe it is safe, shes going to be sold cheeeeeeeeeeap and even then id feel better knowing the brakes are sorted before anyone buys it. A job would be nice haha, it's not possible to run a turbo falcon without a job I don't think. Anyone wanna donate to the John wants a G6ET fund?
