  1. Am I blind?? I've scoured that pin out for the last 20 mins or so trying to locate O2 Sensor on there and can't see it for the life of me!!
  2. Thanks mate, am I right in saying that the ba mk1 runs the Ac Delco o2 sensor from factory?
  3. We didn't in the first place, we unplugged the o2 sensor, soldered after the connector then plugged the sensor back in. However I have heard that soldering only kills o2 sensors on sensors that require a breather line, eg 5 wire o2 sensors. Thanks Wiggum, you're a legend.
  4. Idle is fine, however feels underpowered and misses occasionally when cold (replacing spark plugs tonight to see if that makes a difference). Fuel wise, she's pretty thirsty. I get roughly 300km to a full tank of 98, however I don't have the lightest of feet. No warning light at all. Yep, soldered the signal wire onto the grey wire from the o2 sensor from within the engine bay then ran through a grommet to the cabin. Wanted to do it from the ECU but couldn't find an ECU pinout diagram for the life of me. I am aware of this, however the gauges were provided free of charge on permanent loan from a mate so beggars can't be choosers I guess :D
  5. Pretty simple little question for you guys. Me and a mate installed an Autometer Cobalt A/F gauge in my BA mk1 xr6t last weekend (yes, I know they are just pretty little disco lights for the dash) but the gauge always reads full lean. Either off throttle, light application or WOT shows full lean with a very very slight movement towards stoich on WOT (by this I mean 2 of the yellow lights very dimly light up). We wired power direct to the AUX power coming from the cigarette lighter with a 5A inline fuse and connected the sender wire to the grey wire coming off the stock O2 sensor. From some preliminary research I've done, this fault could be caused by a dead O2 sensor, the car has just clicked over the 100,000 on the clock and was only ever owned by "little old ladies" not rampant hoons like me and you. Can anyone shed any light on this? Thanks in advance.
  6. All's well that ends well... Went and had a look at an 04 BA mk1 xr6t in black last night. Only 98,000 on the clock and drove like new!! Deposit is down and car will be collected on Saturday, been far too long since I was behind the wheel of a T.
  7. Well, it wasn't to be. Got half way to the sellers house during peak hour traffic only for him to call and say he had just sold it. Ugh
  8. It's the 4sp auto model. According to the for sale add, the owner states "Stock computer map (Turbo never boosted)". Has 125,000 kms on the clock.
  9. Hi guys, Years ago I had a BF MKII xr6t as a lease car through my work which I loved to bits. Last night I was involved in a crash which rendered my old car a write off, luckily it was insured for a good amount more than I had paid for it only 3 months prior, so the hunt for an xr6t to fill the void in my life commenced. With a budget of only 10k I was very unsure I was going to find one, however I've managed to track one down through a private seller that I'm looking at tonight. Its an 05 model, couple of small mods such as growler intake, dba slotted rotors, oil line relocation kit, 19" rims and some gauges inside. Is there anything in particular that I should be looking out for as tell tale signs (apart from the obvious of course) that it's had a hard life? Just seems a little too good to be true at that price. Thanks in advance for your help.
