Has it had the Box done as these conversions are very expensive half the purchase price of the car to get something half decent...

Mate the best thing to do is buy one like mine with all the work done to it for around 16-17k done by a professional work shop. No more to spend if done right they are unbeatably the best for the $$$.

Honestly go the BA there the best mines got 330rwkw 1200 nm toque build by cv performance all the goodies but un open engine and I'll tell you they are awesome and very reliable if done correct the only other upgrade I've done is the box conversion to C4 with 3000 stall very strong and fun the things a rocket a very reliable throughout go the BA.

Usually a faulty convertor doesn't do that sounds like the box to me if u put it in any gear and won't move sounds like the box. Convertor usually have a shattering felling and jerking when faulty. But best check with your service guy.

If you like the manual box the you can buy a whole kit from a wrecker for about 1500 - 2000 Inc cluch but you may want to purchase a twin plate clutch around 1500 + for reliability for that kind of power or stick to the auto and get a C4 built to handle your power with a good stall and you will never look back around 6 - 9k for that excise depending on what you do.

Yeah it's sounds like the good old four speed let go unusual at that kind of power but it must of been on it's way out. My one let go but that was at 347rwkw giving it a hard time and the I put the C4 with 3G stall much better. If u intend to keep this car bite the bullet and build a good box assuming you intend to increase the power. All by one from the wreckers for 800 and throw it in. Good luck either way.

Hi Guys, I'm new to this forum and just wondering if any one can help with experience or information. I have just purchased my new xr6 turbo in Sydney and looking to transfer the fuel from 98 oct to Caltex E85. The vechile needs a fuel system upgrade which I've somewhat patted down but who in Sydney is the best Tuner To modified these xr6t. Hearing good stuff about CV Performance and Crescent Motorsport. Any advise or experience. Thanks
