  4. Reset my trip metre and my local driving consumes on average 17.5L/100 (stock vehicle). Highway driving over the weekend showed a best of 10.8-11L/100. Going for a tune in a few weeks with upgraded injectors and springs. Will see if there's any difference. Cheers Kevo
  5. Hi all, Been asking around a number of workshops in Sydney regarding a tune on my stock 04 BA XR6T. Just for starters, I'm going for the custom tune, upgraded fuel injectors & valve springs. What's the price range I should be looking at? Does the 3k margin sound about right? Any input would be appreciated. cheers

  7. Cheers for the heads up Bellato - will definitely consider the K n N filter with a tune. Those items I listed previously totaled $750~. Haven't looked around for installation fees yet. I'm also looking at a double din head unit that supports a USB drive, listening to the radio while cruising down the south coast kills me and I haven't used CD's in years. I find it much more convenient and they're going at $169, not too bad. rbjet - My mate is currently running those Kenwood products and it seems to operating well. In terms of budget, it's right up my alley - don't really feel like going all gun-ho with a crazy system for my car (that's what my home theater system is for heh). Cutting the 2 channel amp off would decrease my expenditure, thanks for pointing that out!
  8. My arguments for both sides are as follows; 1. Installing the sound system because I'm sick of listening to the radio, haha. I'm not looking at a crazy system, something I will be happy with - If I take this option, I was looking at getting: 1x Kenwood KAC-M526 2 CH Amp 1x Kenwood KAC-M646 4 CH Amp 1x JVC CS-HX7158 7x10" Speakers 2x Kenwood KFC-55793 5x7" Speakers 1x JVC KW-R400 USB CD Player 2. Tuning would be for the weekend drives and/or midweek taking it to the track with my mate who drives a SS and is constantly talking smack about me keeping up with him on the road, haha. At this stage, I think the sound system would be the way to go - go for a more comfortable ride. Great feedback guys!
  9. Hi guys, I know it all comes down to personal preference, but I have about 1.5k - 2k to fool around with on my stock BA XR6T and am currently tossing and turning between the options of 1. Installing a sound system or; 2. Tuning the car Just thought I'd get all your opinions on what you as a driver prefer over the other. cheers Kev
  10. I'd feel safer in Bonny than in Fairfield lol

Hi everyone. Just recently picked up my stock 2004 BA XR6T and currently loving the upgrade from driving a Corolla. I'm loving the colour, leather seats and sunroof - condition is immaculate interior & exterior. I'm from the Western Sydney suburbs - hope to see you around! Cheers Kevin
