  2. Happy Birthday Cam!

  3. Hi Sorry Guys...started a new business since my last post and been busy...havnt been dropping into the forums lately. I have had a few members PM me...which means I get an email, and I have responded to them. For anybody else, the modules are $105 each inc postage. The installation is quite easy, but its not just plug and play, some basic mechanical skills are needed - the people who have bought them so far have had no troubble with the instructions supplied. Each module will control 1 window, so if you want to control just the driver, you need 1, for the front windows only you need 2, and for a sedan its 4 to do all the windows. From memory all the people I have spoken to so far have only done the drivers or the front 2 windows. I have about 10 left at the moment ready to go, but I can make another 10 without ordering more stuff from China very easily. If anybody is interested just PM me so I get an email to alert me. Cam
  4. This is an old post, but quite a few peopel are contacting me about these modules recently. Since the original post ive revised the module twice, to include minor improvments, and I am having the boards professionally manufactured. A new photo is attached for those who like that kind of thing...
  5. Hi Guys, I dug up this old thread where I posted about a module I designed to do exactly this. Automatic Windows Thread I have then on all 4 of my windows in the XR6T which means I have fully automatic up and down from the drivers door control or the passenger door control. I also use them in my wifes Toyota and they work a treat there too.
  6. Just found this thread today.... guess id better start the hunt for a Teac STB! Oh, and thanks to all for the information.

    BP AND OPIMAX

You can prove that then? As far as I was aware Optimax has a unique chemical composition. It is my understaning also that BP and Shell use each others PULP fuels in different states. Just think of the costs saving to the companies of not having to operate their own refinery in each location - rather they just have an arrangement to share the output from the refineries that are in place.
  8. I have the Ford car phone presenter - and it gets right in the way when shifting the auto manually. I found it really annoying to start with but I dont even notice any more. I went through a phase of leavin git in auto and it used less petrol. I had a consistant avarage of high 14's when driving in auto and mid 15's when changing manually. I think its primarily because I leave the car in third at suburban speeds whilst the auto drops to 4th.
  9. I change gears manually almost always. Only exception is if I have my hands full.
  10. I have had the exact same problem that has been going on for ages... It was perfect until the Ford service people touched it and it has never been right since. The dealer is going to send it to Bob Jane at their expence and have it all re done for me.... Just waiting for a new SP9000 18" tyre to come in.
  11. I installed mine over the weekend. Installation was very easy, and I think the colour match is perfect. In certain lihting conditions it looks slightly diffeen in colour - but so did the old one!. The fact that they are at different angles and there is a line between the 2 sections makes any difference impossible to spot (in my mind). It works well and looks good. The olny thing I think would be better is if the blue backlight was a deeper blue - I think its a bit pale compared with the OEM lighting.
  12. I got my guage yesterday. Is stinks to high heaven of new paint - so I think it must be one with the new colour. So I guess you want to know does the colour match....... I dont know , I wont see my car again until Friday :( :( (its getting a small scratch repainted)
  13. I expected mine last week - and I still dont have it :(. Perhaps they are holdin goff sending any more until the colour problem is sorted out.
  14. I take it then that your name is Matthew!
  15. There is one for CDM, one for me and the 'real' name of the happy third owner is 'Matthew' I think.
  16. I faxed my order to Gaugework yesterday and I rang them this morning. They have 3 gauges ready to ship today - and one of them is for me (apparently I was the 3rd person's order they received). He told me that they will be manufacturing another 10 tonight for the other orders.
  17. Put me down for the 10PSI guage please. Auto transmission, in Brisbane
  18. I'm interested, but nothing definite yet - I'll wait for the pics and discout pricing.
  19. I have thge exact same problem. I never had any problem with my settering untill the 15,000 service. At the service they did something to the rack. When I collected the car stright ahead was achieved with the wheel about 5 degrees to the right. It still drove fine and handling didnt seem to be effected but I fond it annoyting ot have to drive with tht wheel 5 degrees to the right. I took it back to them twice to fix that problem and they were "unable" to fix it. On the third trip back they finally fixed it - stright ahead was stright ahead. BUT now the car was continually pulling to the left - quite noticably (even my wife commented). So back to them 2 more time - both times they did an alignment and both times the problem was exactly the same. So back for a third time (or sixth time really) and this time they rotated the tyres front to rear. Now the pull to the left is gone. BUT now stright ahead is actually 5 degrees to the left. aaaagggghhhh. The last trip was Monday this week. Its booked back in again in a fortnight (soonest loan car is availiable). Any suggestions on other that have had this problem would be appreciated.

    BRAKE SHUDDER ISSUE

Ive started devloping shudder in the last couple of 1000 kms. I had the car at the dealer yesterday for the 15000 service so they machines the disks and installed the shims. They tell me that they havent had a single problem on a car with the new shims...time will tell

    Lack Of Compartments

Loose change goes in a coin purse and then in the centre console - I used to keep them under the tissue holder - but found them annoying to get at...
