  1. Basically I wanna get it so it looks tuff as, but run radials so I can keep it street registered and also get me a better track time, so it's not all about performance. Bit more to it but it's a long story
  2. Hey guys. I am thinking about building a mini tubbed flat bed for my ba xr6 turbo. Just wondering if anyone on here has made a tray before and if they happen to have designs and measurements. Save me f*cking around and end up doing it wrong. While I'm on topic has anyone fitted 15" drag wheels to there ute? Cheers guys
  3. Hey guys, just wondering what wheels you can get to fit a ba falcon. I was looking at convo ET's but Aparently you can't get 15's on a ba die to brakes. I'm planning on putting a flat tubbed tray on my xr6t ute. Does anyone know what brands etc we can get.
  4. Hey guys, looking to see if there is any hot rod or good dyno/custom shops around balina-Lismore area? Cheers guys.
  5. Nope, just a daily so used for rubbish, golf clubs etc.
  6. Hey guys, I was wonder opinions of what my falcon is worth as I'm thinking about selling next year. 2005 BA XR6T UTE Auto, 136 000kms Front pedders sports ryda springs Rear king lowered leaf springs Auburn tuff lid (hardcover). 2.1/4" split exhaust into 2.1/2" split exhaust with Centre box removed and hiflow cat. Dark window tint. Gauge pod with aftermarket boost and oil pressure gauges (calibre). Mongoose alarm system with immobilizer Turbo timer K&N panel filter with OTR intake. (Pod filter will come with car but not fitted) New tires and always serviced. Detailed inside and out. Im hoping up here in NQ ill get about 12.
  7. I normally do oil and filter every 12 months but fell behind this time. I always use good oil and it seems to keep clean and run well no mattethe kms (within reason) I am pretty set on the diff as it hasnt been done in the last 30000kms, unsure before that. So I figured it was due. Gearbox is my main goal (shame its so expensive, between $400-600, that's lines flushed with full synthetic) Also this time im going to swap my k&n panel filter for a pod and see if I get any better economy over a long trip.
  8. Just some quick advise please. I serviced my ba xr6 turbo ute around 14 months ago / 12000kms ago, I replaced... Ignition coils Spark plugs Oil Oil filter Fuel filter Had the injectors removed and tested Cleaned air filter Didn't have the gearbox or diff done. Im about to do oil filter/oil and run injector cleaner My question is should I now bother replacing... Fuel filter Spark plugs And at 136000kms should I replace diff oil and have the gearbox pumped. ?? Cheers guys.
  9. Hey guys will a ba xr8 gearbox fit into an xr6 turbo?
  10. I got my XR6 turbo ute, BA at 119 000kms. The previous owner had brought it at 70 000kms in near new condition and her partner had done semi dodgy mods to it and basically flogged the sh*t out of it on her. Since I have had it, iv had a fair few problems with it such as a new computer, radiatior, ignition coils burned out while driving one day and general body wear and tear that should not be on a car with only 133000 kms. Also power wise now it is severely lacking power compared to most ba's, it wouldn't even keep up with a gen3 anymore. My point is make sure when you buy one dont buy something flogged out and stupid because it wont have the power or reliability you are after.
  11. Hey, does anyone know the standard lph etc of an xr6 turbo fuel pump and what fwkts it can handle. And also a good upgrade to suit when I do the following mods. Injectors, valve springs, Intake, Tune And possibly an exhaust and intercooler. Im thinking a walbro 2xx, iv been told the 400lph is overkill for minor work. Cheers guys
  12. Cheers for all the comments guys. Will take it all on board. My last question is if you think 133 000kms is to many kms to do the work to the ute without causing to many reliability issues. It shouldn't be considering I will be running a mild tune and only a weekend driver so wont be raping kms onto it.
  13. Yea after more research iv come to realise the stock cam will suffice more than enough to get more power. With 60lb injectors and a bigger fuel pump, 80lb valve springs, custom intake and VCT triple tune, I beleive reaching 300+ rwhp on moderate tune should be quiet easy and in the end, fitting all the parts with a couple of mechanics I know, plus the $1500 tune wont even set me back 3k in total. Seems like bang for buck in these things are right up there.
  14. Thanks guys. I will probably port the wastegate while im in there just in case now I know. Just out of curiosity what type of psi can these turbo's safely do.. 15psi from a stock turbo sounds like a lot of boost? Also I know I can get 300fwkts from a simple tune but I want that bit extra work done so I can get that bit more power without having it working so hard to make that sort of power.
  15. No sorry I forgot to mention, its an 05 BA xr6 turbo mk11 auto. And that sounds consistent with what I'm thinking about with the cam, that it will only increase top end and not worth doing with such small power increases. As for the rest I will not be doing exhaust or intercooler as its not needed with the power im after, I don't plan on running past 10psi. And only chasing around 300rwhp from this. which should be heaps enough for a weekend cruiser. Hence why 60lb injectors with 400lph fuel pump, heavy duty valve springs, intake and tune should get me that sort of power easy. And what does porting the waste gate do? Should I fit a BOV in place of it.
