  1. Car is a ford falcon FG G6E 2008. Car has 65,000kms. Car was giving me 5-10% harsh shifts. I f0cked up my TCM / Mechatronic unit. I was first changing the fluid and then some seals on the Mechatronic unit. I dropped it on the ground with my car on jack stands. I put it back and filled it with fluid. The car would not go into gear. I read the PCM, the error code was P0973 Shift Solenoid ‘A’ control Circuit Low I am thinking it is the broken one in the picture. What I understand is that I can get another Mechatronic unit from another FG and reprogram it with PCMTEC that I have access to. Solenoid kit ZF# 1068298044 Or I can just replace faulty solenoid or should I change all six? There are a lot of options to purchase these but I don’t know where from. https://www.ebay.de/itm/Original-ZF-1068298044-Druckregler-Solenoid-Kit-6HP19-6HP26-6HP32-Magnetventil-/113926804871 https://www.aliexpress.com/item/33008808218.html?spm=a2g0o.productlist.0.0.71b65ae2IjYJqY&algo_pvid=67b904ed-f641-4004-aa92-61a69858c940&algo_expid=67b904ed-f641-4004-aa92-61a69858c940-16&btsid=0ab50a5715932544922773799e89ea&ws_ab_test=searchweb0_0,searchweb201602_,searchweb201603_ What is my best course of action here? My way of thinking is get another solenoid kit, reset the transmission adaptions in PCMTEC somewhere and hope for the best. >> this is it dropped
  2. Thank you sir, no problems at all.
  3. I can monitor boost, fuel pressure, air/fuel and my driving experience. Is that what you mean?
  4. Hi, I have purchased pcmtec. I have been looking at my PCM tune provided with the car. its running a gtx3582r and 1000cc injectors, ford fg, stock motor. 390rwkw. I can monitor air/fuel ratios. Boost is targeted to dropoff after 4500 rpms (auF16459). I thought with a turbo car, boost would be kept to the same until redline? maybe its a strategy to save the gearbox. My spark table looks the same as stock (via pcmtec compare function) but the fuel table (auF0172) has been changed. Can anyone provide advice on this? Anything I can change?
  5. Thank you for your help. I saw the plug for the oxygen sensor but I couldn't get to it so I just cut it off. The gauge holder was for a BMW E36 but I just put it on to this car. I got the long cable version but it's not needed.
  6. I have it running now. I didn't connect it to the light power wire. I have disabled the rear oxygen sensor in the pcm, the one after the catalytic converter. Is it easy to remove? (Disconnect), I had a look underneath there but I couldn't see where it was connected to??
  7. Thankyou, for that. I am guessing the one highlighted in yellow (tan/sliver)
  8. G'day guys, I have almost finished installing a wideband oxygen sensor to monitor air/fuel ratios. Any ideas where I can access a "headlight power wire" to help dim the display at night?
  9. Could you tell me what it is. I'm.looking for something a bit higher. It's already on full height and still too low
  10. Thanks for everyone's replies and arronm's detailed replies with pics The left side took about 2 hours to complete The rotor came off quite easily These rotors were from DBA slotted type as well Whoever installed them put them the wrong way around I mean left to right For the front I have remsa pads, I found with the 6 piston brembos, they didn't fade at Wakefield. I like these as street pads. Next I'm going to put Bendix Ultimate in the front, followed by qfm zx2800.
  11. Yeah mine is around 6-800 cold It goes down to around 500 when warm
  12. Hi mate, I used a wire wheel on the wheel itself and also on the hub. I tried to get rid of all the rust.
  13. I finished the left side now and it seems ok The adjuster seems hard to get to with the rotor on I had difficulty getting the new rotor to sit flush as well Took it for a spin it seems ok
  14. I've spaced the lining to 189mm
  15. Thanks for everyone's comments here's where I'm up to I was rotating the rotor clockwise, trying to take it off So what do? Keep on doing pulling it out and rotating it? The new rotor has The Adjustment hole in the same place as the old rotor, I can't find it where the adjuster is
  16. thanks for everyones reply. ill update soon.
  17. Ok mate thanks for the quick reply I've got new rotors to replace them It feels I'm going to break something when I pull it off
  18. Hi mate It feels as if when I'm taking the rotor off the hand brake lining wants to come with it I can't find the adjuster you are mentioning I can find two of these, I think we are talking about different things I could put a video up to show everyone I've got a big gear puller, are you sure this is ok?
  19. Thanks guys Yes handbrake is off I'm slowly working it off. It seems to be tighter around the adjuster bolt. I tried to loosen it but nothing happened.
