  1. Thx goliath. What about the non-mandrel bends, will it make much difference to mandrel bent?
  2. Just booked in to get my middle muffler removed and reflanged on saturday. $125, only ptoblem is he says that it doesnt need to be mandrel bent and only needs an S piece for it. Will it make much difference if it isnt mandrel bent? Also, wondering if I am actually going to have to get hotdogs put in aswell like another post says. Since it will be that rediculous.
  3. If your not worried about the leather, remove the leather and use multi grips, when I replaced mine I just put a nice big set of multi grips on and hacked it off, haha.
  4. Yeah, amazing how the noise can transfer like that. I could even feel the clunking through the floor on the drivers side.
  5. Dam... Hope its nothing serious dude, btw screw ford. You will end up paying an arm and a leg for them to tell you theres nothing wrong with it, take it to an auto electrician, they may be able to help you out better than Fraud.
  6. Wait. I mean why was the noise coming from the drivers side when the clunking was there. Yet it was passanger side that was the problem.
  7. Ahhh. Thx again bionic Il loctite them in the next couple of days so they dont come back undone.
  8. My car was playing up similar to that before, ended up being positive terminal on battery was a little loose. Take your terminals off rub them over with emricloth or fine sandpaper and replace tightly.
  9. Well crawled under the car this arvo and removed the drivers side linkage, took the car for a drive, noise dissapeared (bolts were tight). Came home, bolted it back on. Thought to myself may aswell check the other side, found that the lower nut was not very tight! The thread also looked worn. So tightened that up and noise has dissapeared altogether with both linkages on. Can someone explain to me why the noise was coming from the drivers side, yet it was the passanger side that was lose.
  10. When I took the wheel off everything looked to be tight, but il check when I get home this arvo/tonight, and report back.
  11. Wow. I suppose with mal wood you are paying for the best quality out there. Good stuff!
  12. What did the diff set u back? Think my diff might be starting to slip.
  13. I put a couple of tanks through. I personally thought the car felt more responsive and punchy. But on the other hand I could have sworn the engine sounded more "knocky" after the first tank full. So have gone to united98
  14. I originally did mine from top, wasnt too hard. Then when I had to replace a dud sender, I did it at same time as oil change, so oil filter was out. Must say, would have been 1000x easier to go from underneath originally.
  15. When I bought the car (12months ago) it had whiteline swaybars. Im just wondering if the linkages are whiteline or not, I assume they are since they are black, not sure how to tell though.
  16. Thx kosij and bionic, keen to get home and disconnect them. I assume its best to get the whiteline ones again from their website? I looked them up last night and were under $100 for the pair.
  17. Well. Just took the front drivers wheel off, and everything looks tight. No broken linkage, and doesnt seem to clunk when I lift the rotor a little. Steering rack bolts look to be tight also. Forgot to check the engine mount but as I said before rocking the engine with my foot, it seems to be tight and not loose. Its got me worried now that its something more serious and expencive. When I get home il disconnect the linkage and test. Hopefully it is the linkages. Also my linkages are black which seems to be the same colour as whitelines on there website. What colour are fords linkages?
  18. Thanks heaps for the replies. It is really annoying that this has happened as soon as I go away for the weekend. Cant wait to check it out when I get home -_-
  19. Yeah, not too sure what links are in it, since I bought the car with the sway bars in and havent had a good look to sus them out. I assume if this is the problem it is safe to drive home without any problem? Also I noticed this noise almost instantly after slowing down from a windy bit of road at 100km/h
  20. Hmmm thx bionic. Does it make a difference if my car has whiteline sway bars? And is there a way to check these myself?
  21. Really sorry that this topic has been sort of done to death, but here goes. Just arrived on holidays for the weekend and have a heavy clunk coming from front right of car when I go over a speed hump or a few good bumps on the road. Doesnt seem to make much of a noise when I hit the speed hump square on, but if I hit it on an angle *clunk, clunk!*. A good way to describe the noise is a loose towball sort of noise when towing a trailer, and is just as loud too. The sway bar bushes seem to look tight from just a visual inspection, from what I have read on the forum it is eather ball joint, steering rack, engine mount or sway bar. I have rocked the engine with my foot and seems tight, engine doesnt appear to be leaning either. When I shake the steering wheel when stationary, seems to be a little rattly, noy sure whether this is normal or not. Hoping it is nothing too serious, and also hope it is safe to drive home on sunday. Fingers crossed! if anyone can help out with any info on this would be much appreciated.

Btw, if anyone can help out with any info on this would be much appreciated, since I have written a novel in the WPTO thread. Sorry bout that. But its true, its pissed me right off!!!
  23. So they have changed back to the old fittings bellato? I cant remember the reason I got msc brand, probably the first one I came across. Although there is one thing I can complain about the msc filter, and it is that the paint has burnt off from the heat and it looks like crap.
  24. Hey u ^^^^^ Teach the guys who fixed my rear end damage to spray a car. The rear of my car looks like an orange. Worse than factory orange peel. Hopefully its more in the clearcoat so it will buff out a little to match the rest of the car.
  25. There is reportings/threads of them failing/leaking due to them changing something (they changed to crimp fittings I think it was).
