  1. so I have worked it all out and everything is hooked up however I have to block the vacuum lines for now as I dont have a long enough hose (ill be getting one on the weekend). The kit is so loud! its almost too much, whenever I get off the throttle its just a huge flutter noise, I can even here it over my loud music..can anyone tell me if re-connecting the vacuum lines will reduce what seems to be compression surge??
  2. Thanks Kroozing I dont have a picture at the moment as my phone camera doesn't work and my brother has our other camera on holidays, but I understand what your saying seems pretty straight forward. I do have the 25mm holes as well as a large rubber tube provided by Plazmaman. I might try a few different set ups tomorrow, running no BOV would cause compression surge yeah? dont really want to go into a conversation about that as I know everyone has different opinions
  3. Hi guys, Sorry if this has been asked before but I cant seem to find an answer anywhere. A mate and I fitted my 800hp kit with under the headlight cold ait intake today to my bf turbo. Everything went find except we can't seem to figure what to do with the stock blow of value. The step in the provided instructions says to "Install BOV return hose and rocker cover breather hose that is supplied" the breather hose is no problem, just we arnt sure whether we just connect the return hose from the new cold air intake pipe straight into the hole on top of one of the cold side pipes (delete BOV) or to put the stock BOV into the hole on the cold side pipe and connect the hose provided onto the other outlet of the BOV and vent into the atmosphere (I hope that makes sense) Any help would be great! thanks!
  4. Hi guys sorry for the late reply took it to a couple of mechanics, one reckons its just a rattling noise inside the gearbox and doesn't really want to pull it all apart whilst the other just said what the general consensus is, which that it is normal and not to worry. The last couple of weeks it seems to have gone completely, not sure if its the hot weather in Victoria, my bet is though that it will definitely return.
  5. thanks for the responses guys, appreciate it, just got back from holidays am going to look into it further in the next couple of weeks
  6. Hi guys im new here and had a little look around in regards to this topic but just need some clarifying. I have a bf turbo 95000km's with a 6 speed manual currently running 280rwkw. Just recently iv been getting a ticking noise from my gearbox, the noise is evident when the clutch is not pressed, when I push the clutch about halfway to the friction point the noise disappears, however if I push further all the way to back of the firewall it comes back louder and faster then when the clutch is not pressed (hope that makes sense). I can faintly here it when cruising with the revs bellow 2000rpm, the noise seems to disappear once engine revs increase. It doesn't effect the performance of the gearbox at all. It is also not the thrust bearing as iv had this checked out, I think its the netural rollover every seems to speak of with the 6sp, the guys at HPF told me it seems normal but dont know unless they take apart the gearbox. None of my mates cars (bf turbo and ba 2 typhoon both manual with more km's and more rwks) have the issue, any help would be appreciated thanks!
