  1. Happy Birthday campbell8!

  2. VCT is a wonderful thing when it works. This is simply just a test guys
  3. cheers for the info guys, been dealing with this for a little while now
  4. I checked a mates BF Mk2 xr6t and his was 190closed and 205open. I just wanted to get an idea of what the VCT control does open and closed throttle. So we can see there is a difference there of 15psi maybe due to the fact that having it closed also causes a vacuum. But I am getting over 45psi difference in mine, a set of locked gears are on the way and the VCT will be goneskies as of the weekend if I get the parts before Friday. Possibly why the BF model falcons don't run much timing at the top end either
  5. Don't know if this is a silly question but does the sump have to be removed do get the timing case off?
  6. Which actuator are we talking about here? I popped the valve cover about a month ago and checked the timing gear, lined it all up with the chain took about 30 odd revolutions of the engine but I got it in the end...and it all checks out I have done alot of tests and this is what I have found. With the throttle body closed (idle position) its going to 165psi, this is what I thought the engine to be, although when I have my foot flat on the floor and do the same compression test it goes up to 220psi. Quite a jump I thought Any ideas? Cheers,
  7. LOL, I have removed the intake and done that test as I was told by someone else to do that, same numbers... Cheers mate
  8. Must add this is a turboed engine also. I have changed the VCT sprockets and the solenoids and this did not alter the compression, the gauge has been tested, and the static timing has been checked. Quite high I think for a turbo motor, but just wanting to know if anyone else has had theirs looked at Cheers,
  9. Hey guys, I own a 2007 model BF Mk2, my engine compression is 220psi across the block. I would like to know if there is anyone else out there that has had any issues with high compression and what they have done to fix it. if you have a BF model and have done a compression test, what was it I would like to know? Cheers from Campbell
  10. Happy Birthday campbell8!

  11. Hey all... progress of the new 4" race box, Garrett GT3582R turbo install.....Don't ever want to do this install again! Was very annoying, but all good now *cross fingers* Big thanks to PJ and Alex at Plazmaman for the great gear! Can't wait to finish this all off and gets a tune!
  12. Bloody was, had to remove the front bar for the tow truck, then waited at the pub for him. Anyway should have this diff in a week or so, pre sure I'm using the same number of splines 28 I think
