  3. Shoulda ordered a GS ute instead of a VW amarok!

  4. I drove a GS Ute for possible work use (Wife stomped that idea into dust after I hurt her neck by flattening it in 2nd at 60km/h) and was really impressed by how savage that v8 accelerates, now that I have read this thread and the power gains from TUNING! I wish I didn't order a VW Amarok (that has been seized in customs and no one can tell me why!)

Howdy all, new to the forum but owned my BA 2004 xr6turbo for 2 years now and it's time for some mods and some tickling. it's on Vibe purple and stock as a rock, wheels have to go as they leak and I think the factory wheels are ugly. what I am interested in is whether or not these mods are worth my money. 1 HDI intercooler/piping kit. 2 Capa ford flash tuner 2. 3 growler cold air induction. 4 42 lb injectors. 5 2.5inch or 3 inch cat back exhaust. any thoughts on these parts especially the first 3 items and peoples experience with them?
  6. I have a 2004 BA XR6 Turbo stock with leather and dual zone climate/premium sound. was with Shannons for the past 2 years, got the car at 23 and was paying $1250 a year for full comp (That at the time was by far the cheapest). I had to renew my insurance in April last year and I turned 25 in July so I contacted Shannons to ask if I was getting any form of discount for being 9 months on a policy as over 25. Shannons promised me that in conjunction with a cheaper premium the next year I would also have discount for that year rolled in. went to renew my insurance this April with Shannons.............$1150 full no claim bonus both nominated drivers over 25 and rating 1 for life. I rang Shannons and explained what was promised to me last year and asked for an explanation and was told that the figure of $1150 was including the discount and that it was because of the Queensland floods. I was not impressed. Contacted AAMI......$850. I would have liked to have kept choice of repairer but not for $300 extra.
