  5. I did have a look at all the wiring while it was apart and everything seemed fine. Yeah I am planning on getting new keys and remotes, need to get the ute there and don't want to pay for a tow unless I really have too. I'm in Sydney east, thanks for the offer though bionic
  6. I know there is other threads about this but none on the BF, It's a BF2 ZF XR6T, I took it to my local mechanic and they put there scan tool on it, it only came up with one code P2105 (forced shut down) Throttle actuator control module. Due to electronic TB when the computer loses signal from the tb no matter the speed the car will shut down. It's done it at all speeds, idle, 110km/hr, 50km/hr, etc. I then took it to Ford, they put there scan tool on it and it came up with a heap of codes. They said put a new battery in it and clean the TB (which I had already done and it wasn't dirty). My mechanic seems to think it's a key/remote problem (I only have one key and a broken remote). I'm torn as I have sweet FA money as an apprentice I don't want to waste my money on mechanics and parts that don't fix the problem. Yesterday it was playing up so I unplugged the tps and throttle motor looms and blew them out and reconnected, then unhooked battery and hooked it back up, and it started first go, but then stalled after I stood on the go pedal. Oh it also has one of the original capa flash tuners on it, and it has only been on since the end of november last year. This morning I went to start it to go to work and it won't even kick, not even a little bit, not starter motor noise at all. The fuel pump primes and everything else works but won't start. I am going to buy a new battery on the way home from work today, and if it starts Im going to get a new key and remotes. But I mainly won't to know other peoples thoughts, especially if they have had this problem.
  7. Did either of you guys end up getting around to finishing these off? They both looked very neat and naked. Nice work.
  8. This is good stuff I've been trying to find some decent info on people making there own cai's. Made a few flashing's for work (chippie) and thought why can't I make a custom airbox. The fg standard setup is a bucket load better than ba/f.
  9. I got one in my my ute, its where the dash meets the windscreen on passenger side, bloody annoying, So I folded up some paper and jammed it in there but now it fell out. Still not as bad is my vr ute, it rattled everywhere.
  10. They look like they fit alot neater than the earlier ones. I like the darker version of those wheels too.
  11. I think he's talking about the way the BF buldge hardcovers don't fit neatly. My mate has a lowndes xr8 with the buldge and wing hardcover and it hangs over the tailgate by 15-20mm can stick your fingers in the gap. My slimelime one doesn't fit the best either rubs on the cab, and the struts were upside down from factory, I tried adjusting it but it doesn't fix the problem.
  12. A friend said some blokes he knows in syd are on this forum and its always the first webpage that come up when I was googling stuff about xr6t's.

Hey I got a 06 BF2 xr6t lightning strike silver, ZF 6 spd auto, just moved from Yass NSW to eastern suburbs of Syd city. Pretty much stock as a rock with hard cover. Only mod so far has been a k&n pod filter to get a bit more turbo noise. Only had Holdens and V8's before this so having a turbo and a ford is all new to me. Liking it so far. Will post pics later.
