  1. Fair enough mate...good on ya for going to that effort to help! Much appreciated. Ill keep trying
  2. would appreciate that Hiddeous...
  3. Thanks guys..great advice. What I would like to know is how the hinge is mounted to the ute...that's why I keep asking for a photo The guy I bought it off said his was riveted...but the hole size on the hinge would make them bloody big rivets.
  4. Thanks for that...I rang my local Ford dealer and they don't fit them, they get who-ever paints them to fit them. They did say that they usually have a fitting instruction sheet...but they don;t have one available So, if anyone has a picture of the front hinges, and a dimensions from say the back window to the centre point of where the struts attach it would be hugely appreciated! cheers Adam
  5. Hey Folks! I just bought a second hand lid for my BA ute, which came with the struts, locking plates at the rear and two L shaped hinges/mounting plates at the front. This L shaped mount just has a slot in it, into which the male portion afixed to the lid slides into. Does anyone have a photo of how they have theirs mounted/bolted/riveted. I'd like to see one before I begin drilling holes in my baby!. Cheers Adam
  6. Hey Hawless Sounds/looks great! Thanks for the advice. How do you find Torque Performance to deal with? I was planning to go see Eastern Automotive.
  7. Anyone have a picture of the F6 snorkel mod...just so I know what the part looks like. I can just imagine the blank looks on the faces of the guys at my local ford dealership whebn I walk in there asking for one of these
  8. Thanks Brods...I'll look into a high flow cat. Is there a part number for suitable valve spring replacements? I'd also really like the part no. for the replacement CAI snorkel that I read about in one of the posts here (The F6 typhoon 2nd snorkel???)
  9. Just bought my first XR6T...heres a link to my hello thread: http://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/48918-the-newbie-thread/page__view__findpost__p__1064687 Now this ute is totally standard, owned by an older fellow and has probably never gotten anywhere near redline. Its done 99250kms. I test drove it obviously, but had the owner beside me so couldnt really cut loose. It felt smooth, responsive and willing. Now theres a couple of places here in Auckland offering a stage one tune and flash giving around 280-300kw (flywheel) but I'll get the exhaust delt to before I do this. (anyone make a recommendation for exhausts in auckland?). What I'd like to know is whether there is anything I should check or have renewed before layering in the first stage mods? Thanks all! Adam
  10. Hey folks! I have just this very day purchased my first ever Ford, which happens to be a 2003 XR6T ute. I've been hunting for a wee while and test driven both Fords and the other brand and I decided the following: The XR6T felt an entirely smoother, more refined ute and on my last drive of a 2003 SS ute I decided the only redeeming feature of it was the sound...so I went with the XR6T! For some reason holdens are 3-4k more expensive second hand too...can't for the life of me figure it out. Would be great to hear from some other kiwi members...where are you having your mods done in Auckland? Pics attached
