  5. Hey guys, just wanting to know the thoughts and general consensus on buying a 2010 XR6 Turbo Ute in a manual or an auto? I'm torn between the two and don't know which to buy. Any thoughts?
  6. Hey Bo0st3D XR6, cheers for the input! The quote I have for the Lux pack was a touch over $3,600. I know I can get the seats done after market and if need be a colour screen for a bucket load cheaper. As good as the colour screen would look and the premium sound would be, I'm not too fussed. You can only have the music up so loud before the cops give you a ticket... (the reason for my first ticket about 10 years ago in a beat up old 1982? GL wagon with one speaker) As for the leather seats I know I could get a better quality custom leather put in. The smell, the feel and the comfort is just second to none! What should I be paying drive away, for a 2010 model, manual, XR6 Turbo ute with the tech pack, a hard lid and spoiler, and 44kms on it? (obviously a demo) Thanks again for the feedback lads. Really appreciate it!
  7. Geez Verve, you have had a rough trot with your ride by the sounds of things! (Which I soon hope they pull their finger out and fix). I can see where your coming from in regards to regretting the buy. I still feel that the XR6T is better bang for your buck in relation to the SS for a number of reasons. Fuel consumption. similar power. interior looks too square, boxy and s**t in the SS. But I must admit the SS does look tougher. All I really wanted the luxury pack for was the leather seats, which I am sure I can get done after market with better quality leather (and to my liking). And thanks xr6tbaboon for your help. You just sold me on the Tech pack. Definitely a necessity!
  8. Hi Guys, I'm looking to buy a new XR6 Turbo Ute and need a little advice... Now I know what I would like, but I'm not sure if it is worth it. I am going to order the 6spd manual with a hard lid and spoiler and the Luxury Pack with scuff plates. What my dilemma is, I'm wondering if I really need the Luxury Pack or should I settle with the Sports Pack. I'm not concerned about the wheel size as I have a mate who owns a Bill Jenny T-Mart and can get what ever I like for cheap. Is the luxury pack worth getting just for the leather seats and the premium audio system? Or should I settle for the sports pack and get the seats reupholstered with leather myself? And is the ipod integration and bluetooth really worth having and can I get them installed later down the track? Any advice on which colour I should order? I like the 2009 Octane but unfortunately they dont have it in the 2010 range :( And one last question... window tinting. Where's the best place to get this done and is darker better? I have read a number of the forums and have got A LOT of use out of them so far, so thanks! Sorry for all the questions guys, but who wants to spend all this money on a car and not enjoy spending time in it? Really appreciate any feedback. When I finally order this fine machine and tinker with the wheels I'll definitely post some pics! Oh and by the way, my profile pic is not mine, it's just what I dearly want!!! Cheers.
