My temp gauge seems resonably accurate but on hot days the air con seems to almost stwich off at times no matter if it is on auto or semi-auto. I wonder if this sensor is stuffed on my car? Might have to go back to ford for warranty which is always fun! FGF6

They basically admitted to the fact this is an issue and is the reason why they dont have this part in stock as they have had to replace so many under warranty. Of course using someone elses pipe will void warranty so unless I want to start modding now I will have to wait!

Ford got back to me and it is a split hose from the turbo to the intercooler. They now say they cant give me a date for when a replacement will be available!!! Not very happy with that response but at least they are giving me a loan car while mine is off the road. I am sure I have read that this issue is a known weak point. Can anyone confirm?

Seems you were right as I am only getting about 0.5 bar now at best and does feel down on power up top.

The only hose I found to be at all loose was directly off the back of the airbox. I tightened it and went for a drive but the noise is still there. 310_FSX can you have a look at this hose for me and let me know if it goes over the plastics lugs on the airbox outlet or sits up against them? I have included some pics of mine where you can see th plastic lugs.

I have checked over all hoses and fittings and all seems fine. I do like the way it sounds but dont want to cause any damage to the car! Might have to get the dealer to check it out.

I have a reasonably new FG F6 and have only recently been getting into the higher rev range and have noticed the induction noise seems much louder than while running in. It actually sounds and feels great but I am worried there is a leak somewhere. I have checked all the joins from the airbox to the turbo plus the boost seems normal. It makes no real induction noise while revving the car at a standstill but have a listen to this! I picked up my manual FG F6 about 10 days ago and could not be happier with my trans choice. I test drove both boxes and the ZF is very nice but the feel the manual gives you and having that extra control is what I was after. I had people tell me get the auto and use the semi-manual mode but the first time I tried this and went to downshift and it took about 2 seconds to make the change (and no it wasnt because of the revs being too high) that's when I decided on the manual. Everyone will have different opinions so the best idea is drive both and see which one best suits your driving style

I know you can get demos etc much cheaper but then I cant claim the investment allowance! With this tax break my brand new car works out cheaper than these near new ones anyway.

I just secured a brand new F6 Sedan with Dark Argent Wheels, Tint and Business rego for $66k drive away. Was $1k better than any other dealer I could find! This is not for a car in stock but for one build for me as well.
