your xy is mint man dont sell it they are only going up in value! it might not be as quick or comfortable as a phoon but im tippin you would get more looks in the fairmont!

even if a written off car has been repaired correctly when it comes to the time you want to sell it people who do the check will see that the car was or has been a write off good luck explaining that one makes it very hard to get rid of...

Hey guys just askin before I try has anyone heat wraped their cold side piping or intake piping to keep exhaust heat from heating the metal/plastic... reason I ask is after driving my car today I popped the bonnet and where the cold side piping connects to the factory cross over was getting re heated after exiting the intercooler cold! also noticed the stock plastic intake pipe from turbo to cross over was even hoter than the stainless steel cold side was! I would love to get it all ceramic coated but dont have the time any input would be great cheers

this thread has been a good read! love the saying "power is nothing without control" but when it comes to mates and people I no asking me to take them for a spin I feel like asking them if my car looks like luna park and is there just to take people for fun rides, my car is my transport to and from work each day so without it or my licence theres no bills getting paid. Why would I thrash my car, waste my tyres and risk getting my car impounded or worse just for someone else to feel what a modded xr6 T goes like? This is why I dont like to let anyone no what ive done to my car!!!

cant begin to think how much money a project like this would cost! motor looks like a very serious bit of gear...

xr6 T's are so restricted when stock its not funny 3 or 4 mods including a tune really does transform the car into a machine

my car used to do the exact same thing I thought it might have been the coil packs also but since I got the valve springs done it has never come back, I thought of it as an excuse to make my car fast

I wouldnt think you would need a tune either but weired things do happen might be worth getting it spun up on the dyno for peice of mind...

are you still running stock intercooler? that's alot of power for only 12 psi

yes that is normal as mentioned above, I usually let the engine idle for a minute or two before turning off to reduce the turbo spin

interesting to see the results, so many people just want to see a big number come up on a screen I guess this proves that a dyno power figure isnt everything...

not the smartest choice to have a loan that size at that age but I guess you gotta live your life could die tomorrow as for getting caught I always had v8s and my xr6 T never got pulled over once with Ps on display as mentioned before comes down to right place at the right time lol
