  1. That will be good, make sure you come and say hello have a good look
  2. Yes your right, not cats just 4" stainless exhaust, is just a race car. It was surprisingly quite on the dyno, sounds really smooth, I never thought to take a video but will do. Will be going to Taupo for a car club track day on the 5th I estimate I have spent around 30 - 35K all up so far
  3. It is a non turbo Ba engine I purchased from a wrecker an estimate it to be under 100000k due to the condition, has not been touched other than Crowe Cams valve springs. Had a mate make an exhaust manifold and intake plenium, 4 inch exhaust from turbo with 1 muffler at the back 60mm Tial wastagate plumbed back nto exhaust Standard E throttle 1 x warlbro 255l lift pump to 4 ltr surge tank, 2 x Bosch 044 feed pumps to 1 x -10 fuel line Modified standard injectors modifed and caped (flow 720cc) currently are running at 55% duty cycle Fuel pressure regulator Link G4 extreme ecu 100mm thick intercooler Turbo is something a friend gave me and we put it on based on the fact it looked right beside the engine (seriously it was that technical) Nissan Z32 300zx gearbox with adapter plate, custom flywheel and H/D nissan clutch, custom 1 piece driveshaft Have basically treated it like a japanese engine and the best thing is I can give the nissan guys sh*t about there little 3 ltrs I built it with no expectations of what sort of power or how it would drive, and really just for a bit of fun. Last week I bought a set of 270 x 18 slicks and plan to take it to a track day on the 5th Feburary so that will be the first real drive.
  4. No BP 98 Will run E85 later on There is no correction on the torque in that graph but corrected it is 579 Nm
  5. Did a little more tuning last night and decided to give it a run to 6000 rpm and made a little more power 325rwkw. Took it for a little run up the road today, awesome
  6. Happy Birthday mazdarally!

  7. Cheers, it is easy to see how these engines make big hp, considering this is a non turbo BA engine from a wreckers. I am really looking forward to building a good one and running a bit of boost. We compared the graph to some other cars including a FG turbo with about the same total kw, the graph was very similar but with the FG running 12lbs boost
  8. Car spent a little time on the dyno this week. Currently it has made 318KW @ 5500 on 6LBS boost with a really nice curve. Have a little bit more to do in the mid range but not going to push as I want to go racing before it throws a rod.
  9. I dont have any specs on the turbo but I do know they are a very common truck turbo. It is one a friend of mine bought unseen for a subaru but realized it was far to big for that so I got my hands on it, it looks right on the engine (I would really like a GTX series garrett).
  10. Have fitted an engine oil cooler with a thermostat sandwich plate (passenger side) and the other cooler is for power steering. Has 6 piston Wilwood grand national calipers and 340mm rotors for the front and 2 piston rears. Ohlins adjustable suspension You may notice the aircon pump is still fitted, I am going to use it as an idler until I come up with a better idea.
  11. Thanks, has been alot of work, forgot to mention the injectors are modified factory non turbo ones. Started at 250cc I think and when finished flow 720cc, have put a cap on them to get the flow pattern will upgrade to some large aftermarket ones down the line. The turbo is a Schwitzer with a Tial 60mm wastegate I will get the exhaust manifold HPC coated once I confirm the turbo does what I want, really hoping it wont be to laggy
  12. Yeah that is one of the reasons I went for it and there a plenty of suspension parts available, also being a 4wd body it has the big GTR rear end. (It is not 4wd anymore) just let me know if you want to see any car related photos. With the non turbo engine I am expecting to throw a rod out the side if pushed. It is running a Link Extreme ecu and I am still running the e throttle, currently I dont have a working pedal as the one I have has a faulty position sensor, I do have a new sensor but have not set it up yet. I does start with no throttle straight off the button though just have not been able to give it a rev. The fuel system 1 x warlbro lift pump feeding surge tank 2 x Bosch 044 feeding into 1 -10 line with a - 8 return They feed into a twin exit fuel filter to the factory modified fuel rail (end & centre feed) returning out the end and into the regulator. I would have liked to feed to the ends but there was just not the room. All fittings and line a Aeroquip pushlock I have overkilled the fuels system but I wanted to future proof it and I plan to run E85.
  13. Its in a R32 Nissan Skyline 4 door. I bought the engine first and then decided what to put it in, I picked up this automatic 4wd nissan rolling body and set to making it fit. The engine is a non turbo Ba engine, I went for the non turbo as the one in the car cost $300 from a wrecker and by the condition it is in has done far less than 100000km like new inside. I plan on building one capable of big power but that will come, to this engine I have only done valve springs. A friend of mine made the exhaust manifold, intake plenium, exhaust and all the nicely welded bits. Hase a 4'' stainless exhaust with 1 muffler on the back
  14. Hi, not 100% sure of what circuit racing I will do, but would really like to do an endurance event at some point. Have quite a few pics of the whole build so will upload a few more. No idea of power yet, and have no expectations, will be going to get tuned in a couple of weeks if all goes to plan as still have have a couple thing to finish on the car before 100% complete.
  15. Hi everyone my name is Emile and I am from New Zealand. I have been following this forum for just over 2 years now and this is my first post. I have got a bit of a different project in the fact I have repowered another make of car with the XR6 turbo engine. (It is a dedicated race care) If you think I should not post here I understand and just let me know. I have been building it for just over 2 years myself at home with the help of a couple of friends and last weekend was the first start up so very excited. I also have a black BA Turbo Falcon that is my wife's car, witch she allows me to drive occasionally.
