  1. I installed mine into my FG today, exactly the same as the BA-BF by the looks of everything. It all seems to work fine until it gets to 4500 and everything flashes, doesnt matter how I adjust it. Any ideas?
  2. I have one of these shift lights and it confused the hell out of me so it is still sitting in the garage. In short, did you connect your signal wire to a wire from the ECU or use some sort of interface?

Test and Tune tomorrow night if the weather holds up! Got some Hoosier Slicks as well, hoping to run an alright number
  5. The Toyos are actually a legal street tyre and are surprisingly good in the wet. I have heard nothing but good things about the Nittos though.
  6. Just wanted some more grip on the street, and the tread pattern makes me feel good inside And yes, also for the track
  7. I cant speak highly enough of Toyo Proxes R888, they hook up better than anything I have ever used before.
  8. This is mine with 18x9 up front and 18x10 in the rear. Tyres are not stretched and the rears just clear the guards.
  9. I am running 18x10 +12, running 295/30R18s and it fits just perfect.
  10. I was told today that the diff could be the weak link in the drive train. I have replaced the clutch with a HD one so the only thing left is the tailshaft and the diff but I dont want to change them if I dont have to, especially considering the cost of them.
  11. I think my best bet is just getting a tailshaft built. I have changed the clutch and apparently the diffs are fine. I will test fit the slicks and if need be I can lift it back up for the strip.
  12. So what would your opinion be on 500hp, lowered, on slicks on a drag strip. Something will break won't it?
  13. Hi, Just wondering how much power people have put through there standard tailshaft in an FG XR6T ute. I am making just over 500rwhp and I don't really want the thing to break, although I won't get another one built if it isnt necessary. Thanks Sam
  14. Ok thanks heaps guys. Do I have to remove everything off the front of the engine to take the tension off the cam chain?
  15. Hi everyone, Has anyone changed the valve springs on an FG or even a BA/BF? I have the springs and all the tools to do it and I have changed springs before just looking to see if there are any tricks which can make it easier/harder? I have tried searching for info but it seems hard to come by, any links would be appreciated also. Sam
  16. I had the same problem with mine, took it to Ford. The insulating foam around the evaporator coil was no good and had to be replaced now my problem is all fixed.
  17. Yeah you can start the car without the seats in. It will have an airbag fault but once you put them back in it will go away. I drove my ute around for 2 days without a passenger seat.
  18. Good luck actually finding something mate. You will be hard pressed to do that. It is something you have to make yourself. And there is not a lot of room in there. I havent even made a facia for mine yet, it is mounted just below the ICC. I havent had the time to do any more on it. I am going to finish it over the Christmas break. Here is a photo as it is now.
  19. I gave up and installed an aftermarket source. I couldnt stand my 10k worth of gear not going loud. Also the standard ICC has terrible sound quality compared to a good aftermarket source.
  20. I stuffed around for months with the factory source, found it to be a POS and opted for an aftermarket source.
  21. I can't see eBay here at work, so I am not sure on how much these speakers are. You are much better off buying from a shop, this way if you have any troubles whatsoever, the shop will be able to help you out in most circumstances. It will also give you a chance to demo before you buy, even if it is only for 5 minutes. Just make sure when you mount the speakers you make a nice solid spacer out of MDF or something similiar. You may also need to get some sound deadening material in case you have any rattles from inside your door. I don't think you have indicated whether the speakers will be amped or not also...
  22. I have a set of OZ Audio Matrix Elites which can handle the lower frequencies really well also. They are not made anymore though so you could be hard pressed in finding a set. Excellent speaker set IMO. You are best off going to a dedicated car audio store and demo'ing a heap of speakers to see which you prefer. Just because I like Focals doesnt mean you will. A lot of people can find the tweeter too harsh and dont like that. Dynaudio is another brand I would look at, silky smooth reponse but will still go as low as almost anything else. Go and see what you like, if you're lucky the set you like the most will not be the most expensive, although this is hardly ever the case.
