  1. Went to Willowbank tonight. Only managed an 11.2 @ 134 with a 1.8 60ft. I need a few more passes with this setup to work out how it needs to be driven. It is a bit tough in a manual but I have a number I want to run before I think about changing the transmission.
  2. Yeah I am looking at possible future replacements now, definitely happy with it now but I will want more soon that's just how it goes. It only fell off on the top when we went more than 27psi, so could be a small amount of valve float as well as the turbo just being inefficient at that boost. I was pretty happy to get that power out of a 4294, considering they aren't meant to make that much power. Pump works like a little ripper too, never looked like having a fuel issue in all the runs we have done.
  3. I have taken over 4 years to finish it so I have spent plenty but its spread out which makes me feel better about myself. It is a little laggy on this tune, but I have a 24psi tune which makes 810hp which hits boost a lot earlier, making around 600hp at 4000rpm. At the moment it is my daily, but the novelty will wear off and I think the country will run out of E85 if I keep driving it everyday! Pretty pumped on the result at the moment though
  4. Clint gave the tune a touch up today. Made really good progress until we got to around 27psi when we started to run out of turbo. Still happy with the result, plenty of power for a street car ?
  5. Does anything work? Lights inside, etc?
  6. I am averaging around 26-27L/100km on E85. Wouldn't want to doing 1000km a week
  7. Thanks Arron, I needed this tonight reinstalling mine in my ute. Works perfect!
  8. Making the power on a dyno sometimes is fairly easy, but some cars make power right at the top of the curve and nowhere else. Reliability can also be an issue. Rather than a power figure maybe consider what you want to do with your car. A car that makes 300kw but comes on nice and early will often feel faster than a car with 400kw that has a lot of lag and comes on late. I think once you work out what your aim is with your car then you can work out how to achieve that.
  9. Gave the ute some love today with the clay bar and a fresh wax. I'm not actually after a perfect paint finish so I'm pretty happy with this. It goes back on the rollers in 2 weeks as well, so 30psi and away we go!
  10. Yeah mate that was with Slicks on. Lots of revs and they get going pretty quick!
  11. 501rwkw @16psi today I will put a few kilometers on the engine and then back for a massage and some more boost. Have a few little things to iron out with the exhaust location and an issue with a very long brake pedal but I'll get that sorted. Very happy with the progress so far
  12. I run a 295/30R18 on my ute on a 10inch rim and they stick really well.
  13. Sorry mate you're right, it was 507hp not 507kw. That make more sense haha
  14. It will go on the rollers this coming Wednesday/Thursday and then I need to give it a bit of a run in before we give it a final tune.
  15. Hi all, I wanted to make a build thread so here goes.... I have had this ute since February 2011, bought it second hand with 21,000kms on it and drove it as a standard ute for a while. I did a few small things to it, put some springs in it and changed the intake, nothing major at all. Then decided at some point that it wasn't enough, so added a few bolt on goodies... This consisted of; GTX35 with external gate ID725 injectors PW Surge Tank with 044 PW Stage 2 IC NPC Heavy Duty Clutch Atomic Valve Springs This was good enough to make 507kW at the wheels, and run an 11.75 @ 119mph with a 1.62 60ft. I should have probably been pretty happy with that in a fairly middle modified manual ute... But then for some reason, on the 18th October 2012, I decided to pull the engine out to make some more power. ... So four long years later and the engine is complete and in the car, the car is yet to be tuned but the aim will be somewhere between 850-900hp (630-670kW) The list of modifications has grown, my bank account has shrunk but I am sure it will all be worth it when I get to drive it. Engine built by Colin Lloyd @ Headsense Mahle Pistons Manley Rods Atomic billet oil pump Atomic 16mm main cap girdle Atomic 14.3mm head stud kit Atomic Ovate valve springs Custom Cam grinds Atomic Vernier camshaft sprockets Cylinder head ported and flowed Crankshaft balanced and heat treated Garrett GT4294 6boost manifold Custom 4inch dump & exhaust Turbosmart 50mm wastegate Turbosmart 50mm race port BOV Turbosmart eBoost 2 PW Stage 2 intercooler with custom piping PW surge tank with twin Walbro 460s PW dual entry fuel rail Turbosmart Fuel Regulator Bosch 2200cc injectors Custom power steering reservoir relocation Xtreme twin ceramic clutch The ute also now sports Brembos & a set of Pedders XA coil overs in the front corners. The tuning will be done by Clint @ Profile, I will check back here once it is all done and update.
  16. Does anyone know what the quickest manual ute time is?
  17. Happy Birthday samhouston!

  18. Hi guys, I am chasing some fitting instructions or even some tips to install my EGR Hard Lid. It has the remote locking and light inside, I just want to know where to start and what to do. I was supposed to get instructions with it but they didnt show up. Something like this is what I am looking for.
  19. Very true, I am sure I will change it a few times before I decide where I like it.
  20. Looks like I have wired it up right and I just need to have a play with mine. Just out of curiousity, why do you have your RPM levels set so low. I was going to have mine go between 4800 @ 6200
  21. I need to take some more pics. It is dark grey but it does look a lot like matt black in the photo. Maybe I should just leave it on 1 and drive around with it for a while and see if it sorts itself out. Do you have yours wired up as per the BA-BF write up?
