BA was lightly modded (F6 lower intake, John Bowe cat back). Closest strip is a part timer (airport runway) & 2 hours away, so haven't yet had a run. Waiting for the permanent one to be built, then will see about a street meet or test & tune.

Car was bought Jan 2011 with 2 previous owners (neither of whom sounded like rev heads) & 67000 kms on the clock. BA was lightly modded (F6 lower intake, John Bowe cat back).

Club dyno day. Car is stock, except for BMC filter centre muffler removed. Other cars on the day dyno'd as expected. Previous car (BA XR6T dyno'd on same machine spun 204rwkW, as expected for mods done to car). So........., do I have a goodie, or is the dyno optimistic??

Minor - spot light surrounds are grey (same colour as lower front bar), instead of body colour. Wheels (in NZ anyway) are twists instead of straight 10 spoke. Unsure of any others.

I think they are H1. The spots are smaller diameter on BF than BA . (Had mine out yesterday, but didn't take a lot of notice, to be fair)

Just changed mine yesterday. Had an old centre section ex my XR6T with muffler removed. On the Typhoon, it makes the exhaust note a lot deeper, more like a mild V8. Easy job to change them. Most happy with the change

Nice job, and a good thread. My question: The stock I/c is painted black, so is there any advantage (cooling wise) in keeping it black, or painting it silver (or any other colour)? I was under the impression black dissipated heat better, so why then are most aftermarket I/cs alloy/silver?

I've just bought an FPV intercooler. What are the ramifications if I install it in my XR6T? Do I need a retune or custom tune? Or will the ECU pick up the difference in airflow (if any) and compensate automatically. Cheers

Love this thread. I didn't know Ford made so many different colours. Our licensing people in NZ only use standard colours, so Acid Rush is Gold, Blueprint, Bionic, Shockwave are all Blue, etc, etc. Does anyone know how many of each colour were made in each model (XR6, XR6T, XR8 etc) in each year? Would be interesting to know from a scarcity/ value angle.
