  1. hey guys, just wondering wat gauge wire I need to use to wire up my dvd player. does it have to be type fig 8 with the small thin copper wires, or can it be 1 or 2.5mm wire. Cheers Daniel
  2. How do the kuhmo's go? and wat style of tyre is it..Ku31?
  3. Hey guys. Brother has a bfmk2 xl ute and he has just broken his wiper control arm on the steering wheel. He has purchased a new assembly to replace it. Does anyone know how to remove the steering wheel/airbag. The locking nut seems to sit behind the air bag but am unsure how to remove the airbag without it blowing up . If anyone could give me any advice on this it would be greatly appreciated. Also, is there a way to replace just the wiper arm instead of replacing the whole assembly (this assembly includes all wiring harnesses and indicator/headlight control arm) Cheers Daniel

  7. Hey guys. Title says it all, I'm after some top quality 5 x 7's for my 04 xr6t. I wanna try and stick with the 5x7 if I can so its a straight swap over. I have a D class 800watt 4 chan fusion amp so I will have enough power. Just want some speakers that can handle some bass (most will be going to the sub) but am really after some top notch clarity that can handle it being turned up real loud . Anyone got any ideas as to what speakers I should be looking at? Cheers, Daniel
  8. hmm ok then thanks for the info. I'm still deciding whether to get the box rebuilt now, or wait till it blows up cause I am unsure of how long I will keep the car for yet
  9. yea transcooler will be the first mod I get. I will be going to the drags, but not very often. Maybe like once every 6 months lol
  10. Hey guys. Wanna get a stally for my 04 xr6t. Looking at getting a 2800 or 3000. Just want your opinions on whether my gearbox will survive this? Only looking at getting around 260rwkw for it so nothing other the top Cheers, Daniel
  11. how do I gap them? is it worth buying the spark plug tool from supercheap?
  12. hmm not that bad..where did u pick them up?
  13. for now. but will be modding in the future. will it be fine if everything is still stock with a 0.8mm gap
  14. ok thanks for that mate. was only looking at supercheap auto. might have a look at repco and see what they have
  15. hmm..where abouts do I cut the hole in the airbox. and wat size?
  16. Hey guys. Getting new spark plugs for my car. Never put any in before lol but seems simple enough. Just one question. I have been reading around and found out that people seem to prefer a 0.8mm gap. I have been looking at the platinum fusion plugs but they have a 1.2mm gap. Can I change the gap myself? do I need to specifically order in a correct gap size?
  17. hmm ok then sounds good. Been looking at a few intercooler kits and either the rapid and pw looks good for the power I need. Dunno whether to get stage 1 or stage 2 kit yet but we will see. With these kits does it only supply the CAI for the turbo? or engine aswell?
  18. I doubt the insurance mob has enough brains for that lol . Will I need a tune after injectors, valve springs and fuel pump. If so I might save up for everything and do it in one lot . Will I need a tune for the straight pipes instead of centre muffler?
  19. Yea but how much was your insurance lol. And excess :S How hard is it to hide the flash tuner? So I can set a factory tune so insurance wont know 0.0
  20. Thanks for the info! The only reason I didnt want to run more then 12psi as the car has done just over 100, 000kms. Pretty certain it hasn't been "thrashed" as it was used for business by a middle age couple (hence the amount of km's). Do you know of any good exhaust sites to remove the centre muffler. Should I add in hot dogs or just run straight pipe? Will it be all bolt on? EDIT: With the intercooler should I just replace the stock one? Or do the whole lot? Is there website for this Rapid gear?
  21. Hey guy..first post for me ooo scary Anyways ill get straight into it. As the title suggests I am now a proud owner of the wonderful xr6 turbo. It's a 04 BA MkII, 4sp. Great condition, only had one owner and runs awesome (apart from slight ticking from injectors, but I will be changing these in the near future so no fuss). Now being new to turbos I dont know a great deal about them. Just want to know a few things, especially about the electronic boost controllers and gauges. Will I need either of these for my car (looking at making 250-300rwkw). Also just want to get ideas on some mods to do. I already know of one mod im planning to do practically right away and that is to fit a Trans Cooler as I know the 4sp arent that great. Now unfortunately because of my age (just turned 20) my insurance will only let me do one performance modification. Can't go past a full exhaust system here . Xforce 4inch dump pipe, 3 1/2 inch hi flow cat into 3 inch pipe which turns into 2 3inch tips after the 2nd muffler. I will of course be doing mods that can be hidden from the insurance company . Im looking at doing the valve springs (for future modifications), injectors and possibly fuel pump. Just want to get some opions/knowledge from you friendly folks. How much am I looking at for valave springs including installation? Is it worth getting 60lb injectors or should I go for something smaller seeing as I dont want to go over 300kw? Will I need a surge tank fitted? What other mods should I look at doing in the future? Already got some ideas. Bigger intercooler (not sure if I should bother with a kit including piping), tuner and edit (dont want to go above 12psi), CAI (looking into Bluepower CAI). Umm think that's it for now. EDIT: Also should I bother about a BOV? If so I like the look of the turbosmart dual port ones so I have the option of plumbing it back. So if you guys could give me your opions they would be greatly appreciated. Sorry for making you read through this all Cheers, Daniel
