  1. well there was one bent valve so must have gone when the motor was running...very weird. funny you say that spiro I was coming home last night and got waved around a dead black cat on the road around the corner. wasnt me that hit it though, but if it kept coming to my yard who knows
  2. haha id love to catch up with james. gloves off in a cage cocksucker. car had a snapped timing chain, which was brand new with the cams, and only put 190kms on it..so hopefully get whatevers damaged replaced with warranty. hopefully the valves arent bent or anything, I never heard any bad noises so I have no idea when it let go...weird stuff
  3. had no power in the end, wouldnt even crank over or start fuel system. some kind ofbad earth I think...got slicks and no lic so to the track it wil go!
  4. well no luck, car has some electrical problems, find out how serious this week. back to the shop again! going full e85 now so should make 800 on the street and finally get to the track.
  5. cheers dave I only just looked back but im going to give it a go, I will take it back to the shop as a last resort then, may aswell try myself and learn a thing or 2! ill post back with what happens, just hope the ecu isnt too hard to take out I know its up under the dash/console area somewhere
  6. gday dave, no software! its definately reset something, not firing at all...il take it to a shop next week and hopefully get it sorted..
  7. merry xmas john nah she cranks over hard, got oil press, fuel press, ignition, just not firing so must be fuel injection problem im guessing....ill look at getting it taken back to a shop after new years AGAIIINNNN, prob get race tune and the last of what I had planned done too I suppose but after that ill probably fix the damn thing with a match haha
  8. autronic ecu autronic 500r cdi...I cant work out whats going on last time car started first crank, but has modified crank sensor also...something might have coincidentally stuffed up but I think its to do with flat battery...
  9. ive just gonbe to start my car after it sitting for a few weeks and it had a flat battery....it wont start and I cant figure out why..it has aftermarket ecu with cdi, disconnected vct (fixed cam gears)...it has fuel pressure and new plugs and is sparking fine...im wondering if the flat battery has caused some kind of default tune or ecu settings that are stopping injectors from opening? im wondering if there is a quick fix or is this a job for a tuner? MERRY XMAS!!
  10. that's it john, I gained pretty much 100hp at same boost etc with the heads/cams (btw they are the 283 deg stage 4 duo phase)...but aparently they make power till 7500-8000, but standared cams wouldnt hold sh*t past 6500...there is about 0.5 secs lag to full boosst now with this setup, pretty much instant black lines on 15psi from standing start. good fun cheers spiro, but I want my own set anyways, it should be all good shortly. been a long time coming but I will get this 9 with the irs hopefully
  11. it made 616hp on 20psi pump fuel but ran out of fuel system... I think im going to go straight to an e85 tune. should see 750 at 25-30 psi hopefully but well see how it goes...still waitin g on slicks for drags...

  13. john-yours should hit 600 with race fuel yeah? im hoping it should make around 600kw atw wheels through the converter...if not I think its time for a gtx turbo or nitrous:P
  14. just went to hear it runnng yesterday...sounds very unhappy, with -3 vac running rich/ untuned and with cam gears not dialed in, cant wait for 30+ psi and c16 next week :D
  15. had BIG dramas....blew oil pump, so stripped motor, found the motor had standard head, no head or main studs....so I suspect some bloody poor service has stolen parts from motor.....anyways should haveit back next week AGAIN...will have full stage 4 head, 7 axis cnc port job, 300 degree stage 5 cams, inconel valves, titanium retainers, nascar walve springs etc etc...going to put m&w cdi with mercury outboard coil packs, still waiting on wheels...had the converter loosened to 3000rpm, last time was taking off like a bus until boost...so hopefully will be off tap now, hows yours brandon?

  18. what did you do to blow the diff? I think you should replace the hat with a mal wood one while its out or that will be the next thing to go..
  19. yeah I spent about 3-4 hours putting them on last weekend, cut my hands up pretty bad haha. and you cant get the anodised clamp covers on most of the hoses...all good though, I just wanted them for the back otherwise the stock ones would melt.
  20. well back to the shop today, got some koni street coilovers for the front and should get the low springs in the back so it doesnt look like a 4by anymore got the new 3200 converter going in and getting the box serviced...also a mal wood dif hat as I blew the dif hat last week (only lasted a few days!), along with a chromeoly tailshaft...hopefully get a good talk with kent about a good atomic rebuild and what we can do to really open things up...hopfully sort some slicks out shortly and get to the track also

  23. http://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=62595&st=0 hey karl, pics of the exhaust and hot side piping artwork are on the first page of this thread at the bottom... after seeing his work on your ute I wouldnt go anywhere else! he fabricated me a tig welded stainless 4 inch system with a 5 in cat and 2 mufflers, the last splitting to 2 3in dump pipes for the tip. he also did the 3 inch hotside piping and customed the process west airbox for the 5 inch inlet to the compressor. brians a straight up top bloke and ill be going back for the cage and 3.5 inch piping when I upgrade the turbo. also on another note.. CHEERS BPS FOR f*ckING MY PAINT!!!! brake fluid dripped all over the bonnet and roof...will need a respray now! bloody wankers...
  24. haha yeah I have got some super lows, just had some scrubbing issues with the 10 in wheels and 285 rubber.. also is anybody keen on a brand new set of weapon x coils? send me a pm, unused and cheaper than new...im going aftermarket cdi coils for some real sparks
