  1. I think in the US their 1/4 mile time is given at the 1000 foot mark is this correct?

  3. I ran an 11.4 @ 123.0 mph at willow bank on the 17 nov with completely stock unopened engine and street tyres, Federal ss595's. What is the record?
  4. Shell Murcon SP Trans Fluid for ZF6 and re bottled as ford brand trans fluid.
  5. I had my ZF done by sureshift at Virginia. He knows his stuff and I was also told by Byrne ford that he is now the recognised repairer for Ford automatic ZF transmissions in QLD, as ford were sending them down to melbourne prior to that. The owner has a racing background and has built boxes for some very tough cars... he does the boxes for the high output cars tuned by the Walkingshaw group. and it was actually Walkingshaw at Brendale that refered him to me.

Getting mine made shortly using 'Strange' billet yokes in 3" hightensile seamless tube, converted to solid X 1350 uni joints and slip yoke. 2 piece shaft (ZF) to upgraded centre bearing, didgitally ballanced and fitted for $1500... only trouble is they need the car for 2 days to make it from scratch. Also was told OK to 1200 HP
  7. I believe there is some sort of 1st gear transmission protection programmed into the ZF. I was told by my tuner that it can be by-passed with a shifting tecnique, which worked very well for me for the last year or so, while boosting at the start of a race. It is to protect the box during fast 1st gear take off and also if the box is shifted into first gear at high speed. My transmission shift paramiters have been adjusted in my NEW race tune, to over-ride the gaer box protection in first gear to allow for high boost/ high rev take off... But I would say best to be stationary before chucking it back to first anyway...

  9. Hey Tony I'd be stoked wiyh a 10.9 and nothing more than a tyre change. wagnman, that's exactly what happened, the sweet spot... just all fell into place...like magic... I've ordered a set of et streets so I'll see what happens... prolly get my tail shaft beefed up first though, ss RDP said they are the weak point with slick tyres...?

  12. Well, had a run tonight at Willowbank... After snatching a handfull of 12 second slips, the last run of the night proved to be the winner as things just came together nicely... Running nothing more than Federal street Tyres "SS 595's 245/40/18" I Managed to pull an 11.49et @ 123.0 MPH out of the hat, with a sixty foot of 1.95 seconds. I usually run BP ultimate, but tonight switched to Mobile 98Pulp. I ran with the RDP "Race Gear Box tune" which is a similar tune that Lee Runs in the 10 second RDP FG. It is a 483 Rwhp race tune.. admittedly The tyres struggled with traction all night....so I wonder If there are better times once I run with M/T et radials... Has anyone got an idea how my time will improve with semi slicks?

  17. Thanks Steve, ordered some 18 inch ET Street Radial2's, but They will be a week or two away, so I'm going to "get angry" with my street tyres and get them nice and warm/ sticky for a run on Wednesday night.... So see how it goes..

  19. You Betcha buddy... good sh*t... 5x better than factory brakes... dont compare to brembos or alcon mono blocks but prolly as good as any other 2 peice out there.. Was a good deal when Brembos were 2.5K a corner but they have come done to about the same price as I paid for these now... Got the front Race pads ($450) in at the moment and It stops very hard indeed. On the 1/4 strip on Saturday, pulled up from 190Kmh with bearly any preassure on the peddle... been on for 2 years now and been perfect in every way... Just be sure to Locktight all the bolts because there is a story of ONE drifter who didn't and the block came loose and scratched the inside of his rim.. Always been a believer in making it stop before you make it go... some people have 300Kw and factory XRt brakes instead of These .....

  21. Haha, that's freaky man, we prolly both got the same sh*t 60 ft as well..lol Running Federal ss 595's 245/40/18 not really soft enough for the track. I ran them at 30lbs but I usually drop them to about 22lb; and now I think I should have.. Cheers.
  22. I'd say 65 Kw is a fair lump and I'm sure you would more than notice the ass end kicking out between shifts...
