  1. I can beat that. My old XR8.
  2. I have a FG F6 in manual and I love it. I understand that in day to day driving that the auto may be a bit quicker but I love the feel of being more connected to the car through a manual trans. In my mind a car like the F^ deserves the manual trans as the auto is simply just not as much fun.
  3. What an absolutely awesome day. I can now appreciate just how awesome these cars really are, however my tyres are seriously looking worse for wear. There were 16 cars there, 7 turbos, 7 Gt's and two F6X's. It was just so much fun.
  4. Hi all, On the 16th of April I am off to Sandown for the FPV track day, is anyone else for here going along?
  5. All this talk of superchargers reminds me wistfully of the blown black Ford coupe in Mad Max 1. Now that was a sexy V8!!
  6. Last car was a XR8. Ba Series 2.
  7. G'day, I have a black FG F6 sedan. I am in Melb but hey who doesn't like a good, long drive in a fast turbo. Let me know if I can help.
  8. I had the same issue 5 months ago. I was upgrading from a XR8 and I loved the V8's. I test drove both cars and really there just is no comparison. I ended up with a new F6. In my view there is no decision, unless you are going to supercharge the Gt as others have said. Having said that the F6 is an awesome car, you can't go wrong.
  9. The most extreme example of this revenue raising mentality is the Hume Hwy. This world class road is easily able to accomodate travel speeds of at least 140 - 150 kmh. Even given allowences for less capable drivers and cars the limit should be 130kmh. Instead they have a limit of 110 and if you exceed that they book you for every kmh over 100!!! What the f*ck is that?? We are simply the victims of a nanny state mentality that encourages people to spend more time looking for speed cameras and watching speedos than looking for real hazards while driving. I can't see this situation changing any time soon.
  10. 1 1985 Sigma wagon - 5 speed and bullet proof. 2 1982 VH Commodore - 5 speed manual, Brock mock up witha 253 small V8 3 1983 VH commodore - auto and replacement for previous car that was stolen and stripped. 4 Early 90'2 EB series 2 S pack Falcon 5 1996ish EL GLI falcon. Basic and very boring auto. 6 AU series 3 black XR6 with the VCT engine and minor exhaust upgrade. 7 BA series 2 XR8 - 6 speed manual lowered, 19 inch wheels, twin stainless steel sports exhaust. 8 2008 FG F6 - Black, leather, 6 speed manual - no engine mods as yet.
  11. That is f*cking awesome. Congrats to all involved in this project. I would love to see more footage of it. Post more vids.
  12. Can I ask why? I am being serious, I have to upgrade the family transport in the next 6 months and am seriously looking at the options. Is there a reason why you think the X5 is so much better than a TT?
  13. At the risk of being royally bagged by you guys, I would buy one for my Mrs and the kids. I love my F6 but for 3 kids and all the sh*t that comes with them when we move as a family we need more space than what my little run about provides. In saying that, if I have to spend significant time in the car with the family I would love the F6X. Money is not the be all and end all. I work hard and I would much rather an F6X than a wanking X5. It's well priced when you consider the alternatives.
  14. I've now had my car since the end of September and still nothing from FPV. Very, very slack in my opinion.
