If only I could only share its sweet note with all my Team N/A brothers. Flicky, I did a bit of hunting and sniffing around myself when it was time for new pipes, wanting the best on a beer budget I found the maker of the Herrod Stainless system, at that time it was a guy in Sydney at Hi-tec mufflers, he'll sell the Herrod system at about 2/3s the price Ford will, if your after steal pips the guy who makes them for Herrod is in Vic some where. The Herrod systems won't in any way produce the big power gains others may but they won't make your wife slap you around the ears when she can't hear herself think on the freeway after a 3 hour drive of drone. Don't forget to do a Dyno power run at some time before you begin your mods. Yes a good exhaust setup is a butifull thing and you do leave people at the lights wondering if you got badged is there realy a turbo in that thing or not, but if I was starting out on the mod road now I'd go towards a edit. The new edits are by far the best bang for your buck with the N/A, and if you do get an edit you'll have me green. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Thanks for the info so far guys, I checked out the website listed above which looks awesome but I'd have to get it shipped here and trying to trust any of the fitters here I'm starting to think twice about, but still an option nonetheless. I might get in contact with Hi-Tec mufflers in Sydney as I'm up there all the time visiting mates so it'd be easy to leave my car there for a day or two. and knowing they've done someone elses with good results that's a plus. Good point about the pre-mod dyno, I hadn't really thought of that but will do it before I start on anything now. Thanks

Hey All I'm interested in giving my N/A BA XR6 ute an exhaust for easter and have been going around to various exhaust shops in Canberra getting ideas and quotes. I think this may have been my first mistake as now I'm more confused than ever. So I guess I'm after some advice on what forum users have done with their prides of joys... I guess I should list what I'm after: an exhaust setup that puts out a good note, power would be a bonus obviously but not necessarily what I'm after(Who am I kidding). Warranty not being voided would also be a bonus. Costing anywhere between $0-1200. No mods have been done to the car yet buti've got a SS CAI setup at home ready to go in when I have the time. By 3 places I've been told: 1.) For a good note and slight power increase you should put pacemaker headers on with a free flowing cat, and 2 1/2 from the cat back. Costed at $1280. If I don't do the extractors there's no point doing the cat so it would just be the exhaust at $450. 2.) Don't touch the headers or cat as they're pretty good quality just replace from the cat back with a 2 1/2 exhaust. $460. 3.) The exhaust there is already 2 1/4" maybe 2 3/8" there is no point, just replace centre muffler with hotdog, then replace last muffler with something smaller. $300-350. This guy then went on to tell me he's done 2 BA's and because they're twin cams the note sounds very ordinary, and is nothing like the older models an example being previous EF/EL XR6s. Any help here with experiences you've had would be greatly appreciated! Brad

Yeah I would be very interested once you got shipping prices to the ACT as I've been looking at making something myself but that kit looks gold and I'm too lazy! I also like how you put the cargo net in the back so that the jack and so forth can fly around in the back and not clutter up the cabin. So if something is figured out for interstate buyers I'll try remember to follow this thread so I can get the hook up.
