  3. What boost are you running? Benny
  4. I have the Pirelli P Zero's and they are the best tyre I've had yet. Not cheap though. Benny

    Help Dba Vs Brembo

DBA all the way with some Ferodo DS2500 pads. You'll be impressed with those pads on your brembo calipers. Benny
  6. Great write up and excellent mods for a small out lay. What power did the car make standard? Benny
  7. XR09 has some very good points. The roads aren't the issue it's peoples poor choices and judgement that cause most of the accidents. It really amazes me that the Governments only response to a higher road toll is to introduce mobile speed cameras. Their results indicate that fixed speed cameras supposedly have reduced the road tolls so far but think introducing unmarked cameras is going to have an increased effect. Idiots The double demerits was introduced and was seen to be the best thing since sliced bread when the toll was down. Now look at the stats. I can imagine the response though "But what would have been the toll if we didn't have double demerits". To put it simply the government officer with the responsibility for road tolls has to take some sort of action to make it look like he/she is doing something so they can keep their job and this is the most simple and profiltable option they can come up with. They need to realise they are going to have to spend money to make people drive more safely on the roads rather than make money. Education is the best solution I can see currently to make a difference. Benny
  8. Depends what you want to use them for? With that size profile and used for cornering and sprirted driving I wouldn't go any wider than 255. For drag wider is possible, 265. Benny
  9. Can't see why you would want to tune out the torque limit on shifts. It's there for a reason. Benny
  10. I would say your engine is loosened up by now with regards to max performance. The time it takes will depend on how you drive it really. I don't think there is a set time when an engine is deemed loose but I've been told it's not advised to go full synthetic oil before 15000k. Benny
  11. Matt, The DS2500's are the go and will most probably out perform your rotors and calipers. Best place to get some is either Compfriction in Canberra or see Matt at Race Brakes in Sydney. They have to be cut and made for the Ford caliper. Last time I got them quoted they were about $330 for the fronts. Benny
  12. Arkayne, If the tuner you are going to see doesn't have previous experience with tuning FG's then I personally would be arriving with proven parts from our site sponsors and asking them to be fitted. That way you know what the car is capable of with these parts. If the car doesn't make the power you want and you have non proven parts then you'll be doubting you purchases. The power figure you get will depend highly on the Dyno your car is tuned on, my car made 301rwkw with just injectors and tune. That's no cold air intakes or special filters. Throw in a high flow cat and it's going to make even more. My car ran our of injectors at around 280rwkw. FG F6 injectors are bigger and will be a good option for you if you don't want an after market injector. Benny
  13. Mixing 20L of 95 with 35-40L of 98 I don't think would make much difference to your car. If you were belting it around track or continuous runs on the dyno then you could see some issues with ping. I'd be keeping an eye on it and see if it comes back. Can't imagine why the fuel would cause boost spike. Benny
  14. Arkayne, There are many different options and bits and pieces you can get. I still run a standard air intake and filter and have no problems with are flow. The FG F6 intake is the same as the XR6T. If it was me and had the budget you have then I'd get a custom tune, injectors and high flow cat. That should see your car get over the 300rwkw mark. I would later add a bigger intercooler from one of the site sponsors. Benny
  15. DS all the way. Great pad and very good for street use. You can go the DS2500's if you want an even better compound. Benny
  16. F*ck yeah Corzza great result. Glad the dump pipe and everything has worked out for you. Jim does a great job. I think my next car is going to be a mirror image of your car. Thanks for posting the results. Benny
  17. Give Jim at Tunehouse a call. He'll be able to arrange it for you. Tunehouse Performance Sydney Benny
  18. There are a few sizes in 19 but they don't come in 245/35/19 or anything close.Benny
  19. I managed to get down to the racing yesterday and had a pit pass aswell. Can't believe how loud they are. They bang like cannons nearly every gear change. Makes my FG sound like a festiva, lol. Most impressive is the velocity they come down the front straight as well. The only disappointment is a lot of places on the track you can't see enough of the cars due to the fencing being too high. It was a struggle to find a good spot to stand around the track. Most people were trying to climb trees, fences, etc to get a good enough view. I understand the fences are for safety but was difficult to see the action. Should be more grandstand seating that doesn't require yet another special pass to sit at. Benny
  20. I've just fitted some P Zero's (not the Nero or Rosso, they one's above that) I have to say so far they are very impressive for traction and hold second gear very well. That is something the SP Sport Maxx couldn't do. Not a cheap tyre though. Check this out for options and info. http://www.tirerack.com/tires/surveyresults/surveydisplay.jsp?type=MP Benny
  21. Keep us informed 6L ETA. Benny
  22. Police were out there the other night writting down regos apparently. Lots of dingalings doing burnouts. Benny
  23. Mines holding 336rwkw with no dramas. It depends on how far you want to go. Benny
  24. Wow that looks awesome Rhino. Makes me wondering if I shouldn't have got black. Looks tough in the front of the car. Great work.I'll have to keep an eye out for you around Newy. It'll be hard to miss you, lol. Benny
  25. This is a regular thing Rhino. It's packed in there every Thursday night. It's entertaining to see all the cars but there are some knobs driving around in there doing stupid things in Mum and Dad's cars. The police target this night and area quite a lot. Not really a spot I frequent mainly due to the police presence and eagerness to issue defects. In saying this there are quite a few sensible people that head in also but everyone is tarred with the same brush. Benny
