I live in geelong and rang the local dummy at gauge works to have him quote me $750 to install them!! said to me its a full day job. the gauges I got are Boost,Oil Press,AFR, now ive heard ill need a sandwich plate as well?? does anyone know anywhere in geelong or the western suburbs I could get these gauges hooked up at a reasonable price? thanks guys
  3. anyone know how much this cooler costs?
  4. mate I got a Dog Crate from a pet warehouse for $285... I have 2 40kg bull arabs and they sit in that together no problems
  5. mine is an auto, $1150 vs new tailshaft? cheap in my eyes lol.. most places like pedders or dunga tyre shops will charge half that and that would be without replacing your leafs.
  6. the herrod kit retails at $1150.. includes their new leafs and springs ect, I dont know about tailshaft replacment if it fails but ive got an fg xr6t ute now done 9k's with nearly 300rwkw and I drive it hard day in day out, no axle tramp no problems at all with the kit.
  7. ive got an fg xr6t ute with 19x8 argents.. running sumitomo 275's on the back 268rwkw no issues putting the power down.
  8. ive been told valve float occurs in the fg's once above 300rwkw... just that most tuners wont tell you cause its easier to do bolt on's n tune and on your way where as valve springs maybe bit more time consuming.. ?
  9. hey all, I currently have an fg xr6t ute ZF. tune only running 268rwkw, now im looking at doing either PW or Plaz cooler/pipes/injectors/dump/cat now I know that should give or take 310-320rwkw dependant on tune ect. now ive been told by my tuner I need to do valve springs due to valve float. ive noticed not many people doing them on the fg's and its going to cost an extra $1,200 fitted to do them. anyone else done them ect.....
  10. I have an fg xr6t ute zf auto... herrod lowered since 200km now has 7500km its tuned and I drive my ute hard.. no axle tramp.. no sign of tailshaft problems, my only dilemma is a horrible creek when going over speed humps ect..
  11. since I had my fg ute tuned it doesnt make the burb noise, but if I flash it back to stock it does it, I like the sound any ideas as to why?

  13. Got my BA MkII xr6 turbo in Nov 06 with 19,000km on the clock and it's got 31,000 on it now, at the same time I got a BA MkII xr6 ute to use for work with the same kms on it and that has just hit 100,000kms this week.
  14. ive got a bf mk 2 xr6t, its manual, centre muffler removed,n bmc filter, it pulled 194rwkw stock and on the 8psi tune pulled 234rwkw, I didnt have it on the rollar for the 10 psi cause the afr were way to high and got told not worth pushing it for a power run, now my question is im getting my custom tune done next monday and wanted to know should I just stick to 8psi or go the 10psi ?? if I go the 10 will the clutch last long? and I dont want to change my injectors cause trying to keep it stock as ill probably sell it soon enough but just really wanna see how it goes with the custom.....
  15. Thanks doesn't look that bad of a job im just trying to work out how to get the dash itself out I have found the 2 bolts on each side of the car but that's it so far.
