  1. Happy Birthday Vebbers!

  2. Cheers buddy! I am on the forum...just havent been on for a while. I work down Mooroolbark way so pass through bayswater. Although, I must admit, it aint a turbo.
  3. Thanks Adam! That does look good, ill research that. Also, in my initial post by 'This system' I meant one I saw on ebay, but we arent allowed to link to ebay so im not sure how I can describe it. Its a black pipe going into a cylindrical carbon fibre filter thing that connects to the piping that goes to the throttle body. IF you search ebay for 'XR6 intake carbon' it should come up. Cheers!
  4. Hey guys, I used to have the XR6T upper snorkel and the F6 lower snorkel on my NA but recently I decided to ram the back of commonwhore. Also, I failed to mention to my insurance company that I had changed the intakes. Anyway, ive just got my car back(with the stock snorkel) and was looking for more ideas for CAI for the NAs as I didnt notice much of a change when I had first installed the XR6T/F6 system, so I thought I might try out some other ideas. What do people reccomend for a NA? Also, Has anyone seen/tried/used this system? It looks a bit dodgy/cheap to me but im no expert. Thanx guys! Vebbers
  5. Hey all, Firstly sorry if this question sounds stupid.. But, I wanted some details regarding the CAPA ford flasher, I have a N/A BFII with the mods in my sig and was wanting to tune it in the near future and thought since I will be getting a flash box then, I might as well get one now and use the preset tunes(which are supposed to provide limited gains) while I save up for a custom tune... The question is that do the preset tunes in the flasher get it to a certain power (kw) level or does it increase it by a certain level? I.e. does it get to 210 kw(hypothetical) (from factory 190) or does it increase by 20kw regardless of what power you have before flashing? Sorry for the confusion and thanx, Vebbers!
  6. that's not very encouraging.. Sorry to near n1ck! I did some more research, came up with 'Funky Customs' in Campbellfield, the website looks pretty good! Plus theyve been in business for about 15 years, gotta say something! If anyone has used/heard of this place (or any other place) please share your experience with them! Thanx in advance, Vebbers!
  7. Thanx guys! Got a pretty good quote from Phat customs.. Cheers, Vebbers

    Brembo Upgrade?

Mate im 20 (thus P-Plates) in Victoria and you can see all the mods in my sig except for a couple of things (which are soon to come) I have highly modded my N/A. Been next to millions of cops and have a cop as a mate that I have talked to about modding while on Ps. No one has any problems. Ive had the car like this for about 1 year now. Although, brembos would be a good idea, feel free to do minor mods like catback, lowering, rims, etc. Also, if all you want is the look of the brembos just get your calipers painted, shouldnt cost you more than $50-100 to get it professionally done! Furthermore, thers got to be other brake upgrades that are better than stock but not as expensive as Brembos! Cheers, Vebbers!
  9. haha..Dont worry, that thought came to mind but the bulge ive got is the 'custom' bulge which has the intake cut at the front, exactly like the XR8 bulge but which a slit at the front. I think it gives it a bit of unique look. its on the phat custom kits website. Thanks for the help guys.
  10. Hey, I bought a bulge that I wanted grafted/painted onto my bonnet but most panel beaters are not interested in even talking about grafting. A couple of bodykit shops said they might be able to do it but I was wondering if anyone here knows anyone who could do this for me for a reasonable price. So far ive been quoted $700 for grafting+painting. Cheers, Vebbers

  12. Even without the tune, ive felt a fair bit of a difference in my car, I havnt had it dynoed yet so I cant give you an accurate figure, you can see my mods in my signature.. but your right, to get everything working to its full potential, not to mention improving fuel economy, you should get a tune and a custom tune at that. Im waiting till I get off my Ps!! Cheers.
  13. You guys are pretty lucky!!! I do a LOT of city driving and being 20 I thrash it around, nothing stupid but nothing slow either. With 95RON fuel I get roughly high 13s to low 14s. that's with all the mods in my sig and no tune...the tune will throw the P plate power-to-weight ratio out the window.. Saying that, I wouldnt trade it for anything else, regardless of consumption..these cars are fantastic! HAPPY EASTER!
  14. Saw ROLMDL outside 'Ocean blue' (Port melbourne) friday night...nice and low, nice car mate. Also, was driving next to TUFPV, dunno if hes on here..but had fun driving next to you, sounded monsterous!!
  15. Ive only been to 1 guy so far for a quote and he said 'around 200'. which I think is a tad expensive, something like this shouldnt cost more than $100-$120 to install, but im just taking an educated guess...
  16. Saw ORSM-06, again... Dark agents look bloody good on the bionic!
  17. Welcome mate! I too have a MKII BF and my understanding is that there actually is no difference. You could say that the MKIIs are an updated version from the MKIs, basically all the little kinks that were wrong inthe MKIs have been altered. I havnt come across anyone who has noticed a significant difference between a MKI or II. However, it is generally thought that MKIIs are 'better' than the MKIs. Hope that helps. Enjoy the car! 18. So, noone has xforce extractors?? that's not very encouraging...
  19. The Powerbond 20% billet steel underdrives are they way to go mate, as far as I know. These are available on ebay for roughly 260-280. Lemme know how you go with buying/installing one. Cheers
  20. Sorry to go a bit off-topic but was wondering if there is anyone who can arrange a group buy for Underdrives?? Want to buy one asap.. Cheers P.S. i reckon the traditional (analogue) gauges look better/sportier, i sorta get a ricey feeling from the digital ones...just an opinion..
  21. Hey all, I called up the guy who did my Catbak (Xforce) for a quote on a set of PH4490s but he told me that he only does Xforce products, he quoted me 450 supplied, fitted and warranty. What do people think of the Xforce extractors compared to the PH44s(90/95s)? Has anyone got them done? Any help would be great! Cheers Vebbers
  22. Hey Tom, I enquired at 'C&A Auto Fashions' off Whitehorse road in Blackburn. Lemme know if your gonna ask him, maybe if we get ours together, there could be a chance of a slight discount, from what ive read, $600 supplied and fitted for the 4490s isnt too bad, people are saying between 550 and 630 is a decent price. anyway, hope it helps also let me know if you happen to find a place that looks good/better. Cheers, Vebbers
  23. Jake! Went to the local performance shop today and they quoted me "you'll get change from a grand" for a set of PH4490s and an underdrive, supplied and fitted, in about 4 hours. Does that sound reasonable to you? He said he could do $600 for just the Ph4490s supplied and fitted. cheers, Vebbers
  24. Spotted ORSMT-1 on bridge rd on sat night, the shine from your car nearly blinded me...
  25. That sounds like an idea..I think I put it in the 'ideas for group buys' section along with the underdrive. ill see how that's going.
