Just got my 4sp auto back from dominello's in nsw I initially rang him and said I wanted the box suited for 400 rwkw and he said no problem. I was quoted $5000 for full rebuild and 3500 converter and he gives a year warranty as well. If a builder is offering a warranty shows some sort of confidence in his work, my friends box 4sp built by dominello's as well is running 360rwkw now has 40k on it and driven like it was stolen and still no issues.

Spoke to Dominello's about rebuilding my 4 speed and told him I should make around 400rwkw with my new engine.He said should be no problems and he offers a warranty on his box for 12 months. He quoted me $4500 with a new 3000 rpm converter, he done my mates box and it has been going for about 8 months now, and driven like a wrx stolen by some 16 year olds and still no problems. People say $4500 is dear but not if it is only done once.

Have checked everything and have found the noise coming from the top end somewhere. Going to lift of the rocker cover on the weekend have been told could possibly be the lash adjusters.

That is obviously exchange for your engine presume, what sort of $$$$$ did they indicate.

Hi guys was driving home from town today and overtook a car was only on one of the conserative tunes and not thrashing pulled up at the lights and can now hear a noise. Sounds very similar to extractor gasket leak or a louder version of injector clicking but it is neither of these. The car has a aps phase 3 kit 4 speed auto with only 40 on the clock and does not get driven very hard, seems to be running fine and not missing or anything abnormal. Seems to be coming from the top end somewhere maybe someone can shed some light on the subject.

Thanks guys just trying to decide whether to put the gears in first or buy a stall and try it.

I should help the sixt foot heaps but just not sure what it will do with the change in rpm at 100 have a four hour drive to the track from here.

Hi all just a quick question have a ba xr6t making about 357kw with the 4 speed auto and std diff gears. Took it to the drags and ran 121mph but at only 12.50 am looking at a stall but I have a set of 4:11 gears does anyone have these in and what did it do to the driveability as I drive this quite regularly.
